One of the few whiskies I have bought again on my (relative short) whiskyjourney. I love the vanilla-note, reminds me of a german vanilla layer cake creme powder, we used to have when I was a kid in the 80's. 🙂 Considering its cask strength the price in Denmark is pretty good, too (65$). I originally came across it thanks to Jon the Whiskyneighbour up in Canada, who praised it highly. And I seem to share the same prefs to whisky as him (and you, for the record) - so I tried it out and it is a great scotch. Actually I just purchased the Cotswolds Peated CS, after seeing your review last week👍 Completely agree on the GF 105 holds more sherry-notes on the nose. GF 105 has that tyre-store-note, that I (also) like.. 🙂

That cat has a big mouth! 😂 Tomatin is not a brand I connect with. I tried many of their expressions, core and special but they were all meh to me. Not bad like you say but nothing worth going back to. Cheers dude for another solid review. Not well versed in music myself but I always enjoy the concept that you do.🥃

He sure does! Quite opinionated to boot..... Yea man, of what I've tried, the CS is the only one I'd consider going back to. One thing I forgot to mention in the vid is how well it works with a hunk of ice. It's actually pretty great. But yea, better things out there TD. Thanks for the support my friend, I appreciate it!

.Yeah you get a fair price, by our standards too. I'd be happy to find this bottle under £50 & the GF 105 might creep closer to £60 ($76) but we do pay 20% in taxes on Alcohol. I'm curious what the average value added Tax is in China ?

I actually don't know to be honest, I 100% deal with independent resellers and they do whatever the hell they want lol. I'm sure the big cities have legitimate sellers but they are few and far between.
