seriously impressive package - works perfectly, and the most important thing of all, individually switches TV refresh between 50hz PAL and 60hz NTSC at launch for perfect sync and no stuttering. (no other compilation i've tried does this). Thanks for the hard work!

This is an honor for me:) I've seen some of your comparison videos in the past. It's always interesting. The winner in the Amiga VS Atari battle is usually clear. But Amiga VS Genesis, it tends to be worse. Genesis lovers can't admit that the Amiga might have better sound, while I can admit that the Amiga usually has worse graphics.

Another nice comment:) I am glad my work wasn't waste of time. I'm thinking of sorting games to categories Aga, Ecs, and cd32. Cd32 I don't like cause of history, so if Is some version better on cd32, I put it there. I love Benefactor, but I prefer mod tracks than CD. Bubba n Stix CD version play music And SFX, but I prefer mod tracks too, so I used sampled mods, and switch tracks. Still my iso has some bugs. It's funny that new versions of emulators does automaticly what I did maunaly months:) (Pure black boot and screen adjustemnt)

Wauw! this is a straight out masterpiece. All the work and effort put into creating this is unbelievable. Just one remark for those trying to download the img. The torrent link on arcadepunkz didn't give me an Etcher flashable img, it's a folder full of zipped files, and with me after unzipping it, it seemed corrupted. The first dropbox link provided works like a charm!! After encountering some WIFI country settings and login issues, I got it to work. But really Tomas, you're my hero !! This was the sort of platform I've been looking for since the beginning of my midlife crisis. Even my very first NES underdog-favorite captain comic and arcade Simpsons are included. Glad you like it:) I have never dealt with saving Hi score. Maybe it will be there somewhere in the retroarch menu. Press the Home Button and X or Y during the game to get to the menu and try to find it somewhere.

Ok. I tested this image the whole Day. This is by far the BEST Amiga image i ever played... and i tested most of them released on arcade punks for example. Every game i tested works perfectly with correct aspect ratio and fullscreen (this is not common on amiga images!). Finally no graphical glitches on Lionheart 😍. Perfect controlls without need of a keyboard or even a mouse for every game custom made. I could even play mouse games like Rockn Roll with a xbox controller, or pinball fantasies without the need of a keyboard.... works like a charm. The game selection is almost perfect, even rare titles are here. Not convoluted with shovel ware, perfect. Menu design is good, (not to childish!) with great boxart and preview videos. Its a 10 out of 10! I am almost mad, that this image exists. Reason 1: Why took it the cool image builders 5/6 years to finally release a usable amiga image. Is there no love for it, i almost gave up the hope on the Raspberry. That leads us to Reason 2: I pre ordered the a500 mini 2x! For me and a friend. Are you kidding me people!? 1 Month before the a500 mini this release comes out.... after all this years... and the saddest part is... the mini cant be better then this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Incredible Work! Make it public on arcade punks so this gets more popular. Greetings from Germany! Mission accomplished:) I was touched. You're the first to notice the details. In the last few years, the Amiga has started to be added to the Retropie images a lot. So no one gets excited anymore when someone releases another one and it gets lost. The first version I released a year ago, even on Arcade Punks, it was like a fart in a yakuza. It was before the announcement of TheA500mini. This is basically just an upgrade. I also have TheA500mini pre-ordered and will probably buy another one and put a raspberry in it. And when you have such a beautiful thing, the image must look perfect. The reason I'm doing all this is because I'm trying to bring the Amiga to console gamers and they don't want to set anything up, just grab a controller and play. The Amiga changed my life, it's the reason I do the work I do (video post production). By the way, my mother bought my first Amiga in Munich, Germany and brought it to us right after the border between Germany and the Czech Republic opened. So we are neighbours. Hello neighbour:) PS: I will add these games to the next version for RPI4;)

My suggestion would be to offer both 😃 Your AMIGA collection, is from my point of view, the best that is available or known to me. Personally, a pure AMIGA version would be enough for me, because I can realize everything else via multiboot or simply change the SD card 😉. I guess the games run via WHDload and PUAE (retroarch)? Perfect would become the Amiga collection from my point of view, if also all ADF games were included which are not available as WHDload version. For example: "Empire: Wargame of the Century" or "Perfect General". I have also looked for a list that lists all ADF games that do not exist as WHDload...but there seems to be no such thing. 🥲 Best regards

Each Amiga game will switch to PAL 50 Hz at startup. This probably won't work on most monitors, but TVs should be able to handle it better. Anyway, when you start any game, start pressing the A or B button on the loading screen. A blue menu will pop up where you choose the screen format for one or all games.

I'm very glad. It would be a shame to keep it only to myself:) Rpi4 version will have sharper image, better image alignment and shader support. Support for triggers, which will be especially useful for racing. Real analog joysticks for mouse , autofire and OSD keyboard. Plus the Rpi4 is faster. I'd like to add CD32 games, I didn't want to at first because CD32 was the nail in the Amiga's coffin, but some versions of the games aren't bad.

Some great game selections there. I already use ScummVM - really love the point and click games. Aside from that I have opted for nostalgia and convenience with my retro gaming so went with the Mega Drive Mini - and installed Project Lunar on to it to add more games - and have pre-ordered the A500 Mini. Also helpful they come with save states for those extra challenging games. Aside from the portability and space saving, there's something about a mini version of the original hardware that appeals to me. It looks good and evokes the nostalgia more, particularly as they come with authentic accessories such as the tank mouse in the case of the A500 Mini. Fingers crossed the emulation on the A500 Mini is good.

If you like point and click adventure games, the 128 MB iso from Rick Dangerous has around 150 adventure games. You can find it on Arcadepunks.com. He has the cleanest images. I also have a pre-order of TheA500mini. I may buy another one and put a Raspberry in it, so I'm trying to make the best iso. My image is different from others in that it has configured controls for each game and you really get by with a controller.

Thanks a lot for the praise my friend:) I think it is a small memory in case of pi3A+. Maybe if you install the system from scratch and insert my content. But it's tricky because this version is based on an older version of the system and the old Amiberry 2.54. This is because newer Amiberry don't support fast copper hack and without that it works slow on Rpi 3. It might be easier to port the version from Rpi4, which is based on retroarch PUAE.

Thanks buddy:) I've been dreaming about something like this since I was a teenager:) I wanted to make something user freindly so newbies had an easy way to play Amiga games without any problems. If you get a black screen, maybe try a different SD card and especially format it before writing it, otherwise it can cause problems. Be sure to use Balena Etcher for writing, it checks for errors after writing. BTW I've never heard of the game Sneech, I'll check it out.. Atoms is a good game, but I didn't put it on there :( PS: I also made an improved version for RPI4. PSPS: If you want to add games, I used unique 3Dboxes with reflection, so it will mess up the clean impression. I could make a template available for After Effects.

@@tomaskonvicka4135 I think that it is brilliant that you also added PD-games! The community was strong because of all the PD-coders and demo-makers too. A few legendary demos such as Spaceballs would also be nice. Sneech is like a reversed multiplayer snake. You have to let others hit you. Great game with crazy sound effects. I found the problem! My monitor didn't support the hdmi-settigns. I uncommented the Hdmi_safe and now it works. THANKS A LOT!

Thankyou for the amazing image! I've just resurrected my Pi3B and your work will give me years of entertainment. There's just one Amiga game from my childhood that I can think of that's not included. How difficult is it for me to add this myself? I have an adf file, and had a look at mimicking the file structure of other games, but I'm not sure what to include with it in the Games_WHDLoad folder, etc. Your help would be much appreciated. Hey buddy:) I'm glad it made you happy:) If you want to add a game, it's not hard, just annoying. Create a subfolder in the "Games_WHDLoad" folder with your game name and copy the adf there. Duplicate and rename the *.UAE of the game, for example Back to the Future II, which is also an adf. Edit the UAE in some simple editor, type the name of the game at the top and then scroll down and rename Back to the future to your game. If the path is correct, it will work. You'll just miss the video snap and artwork, I could send you a template for the After effects. Or if it's a single game, I'll do it myself.)

This menu is between games, the icon with the cogwheel - Configuration. You can set the Bluetooth controller and screen here. Controller in the Bluetooth devices submenu, screen in Raspispi config.

Sí es posible, pero un poco complicado. No se pueden utilizar archivos lha. Tienes que descomprimir el archivo y ponerlo entre los otros archivos. Entonces necesitas el archivo *.uae del juego. Sólo hay que cambiar el nombre de uno de otro juego. Edita ese archivo en algún editor de texto y cambia las rutas del juego. Después de hacer eso, necesitas escribir el juego en gamelist.xml, también usando un editor de texto. Luego sólo queda hacer los gráficos y el vídeo para que el juego no sea diferente. Puedo enviar el proyecto para After effects. También tengo una versión de esta selección de juegos para Rpi4 también. allí sólo tienes que poner los archivos lha. (Por favor, disculpen mi español, es una traducción automática:))

Thanks a lot:) In the case of Amiga, it's more complicated, when it comes to other emulators, it's simple. You can use WiFi or USB stick. Let's start with the easier one. Copy the zipped games into the "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/(console name)" folder, that's it. If you want to add Amiga games, copy the unzipped WHDLoad or ADF game into the "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/amiga/Games_WHDLoad/" folder. Then in the "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/amiga/" folder you need to create a *.UAE file like the other games have. Choose a game of similar genre and configuration, duplicate that UAE file and rename it to the name of the new game. Edit that file in some text editor and overwrite all the paths to the game. For a few games this is acceptable, for more there is software that will do this automatically from the whole game package. This is an outdated method, as this Raspberry has an old version of the system. This is because there must be an older version of the Amiberry, only on it do games on RPI3 work fast. So don't update anything in the system.

It's a beautiful thing and my image doesn't change that and if you're looking for the best box for a Raspberry, I think it's the A500 mini:) Otherwise, the best site for boxes is retroflag.com/. But they only have boxes for Rpi3 and zero.

That makes me very happy:) It was created for this purpose - Nostalgia resonation:) The image cropping is the usual thing, there's a function for that in Options > Eazy Hax Toolkit > OverScan Enable/Disable. Then reset and that's it:)

This is the best image I ever seen. However I have no in game audio. Sound is present only at game selection page (of the game preview). I have raspberry PI connected to a monitor using HDMI cable and the speaker connected to the line/headphones out connector. Do you know why? Thanks

I'm happy you like it. But it should also work:) Interesting, occasionally someone has a problem with this (very rare). It happens when you start the Raspberry first and plug the TV in later. Try playing around with the sound settings: In main menu > press start > system volume, or Configuration (cog wheel) > audio). Also try expanding the sd card space in Raspi-config. There's probably no place to save the configuration.

Thanks a lot for the compliments:) The bilinear filter is a natural feature of the old Amiberry that cannot be turned off. But it's also the only emulator that works well on the slow Raspberry PI 3. Newer versions of Amiberry allow you to turn it off, but it doesn't work there with speedhack, which makes it run smoothly. People turn on all sorts of CRT simulations, and this is actually the most natural. Even on the old monitors, it didn't look that sharp. When you go to the newer Raspberry PI4, I've done a similar image there, it's already sharp and there are different settings.

I'm sorry, but I've never tried such a joystick or adapter. The version of the System I'm using on this edition is quite old, and it's possible it doesn't support it. However, don't update the system or the emulators, or it won't work properly.

The problem will be that you won't have the same artwork and boxes for those games, because I made them. I have the templates for the After effects. My goal for this image was a uniform look and feel and a selection of the best games and also tested games.

Thanks, I'm glad you're glad:) About the volume: increase volume in system (main menu > press start > system volume), or (Configuration cog wheel> audio) And about Elfmania: it's just a bad emulation, it blinks when loading, but wait a while and then the game works normally.

Yay, just got my first pi today (pi 3b model, v1.2), image started up, looks beautiful, have a Samsung Pro Endurance 32GB. The only problem I have is I am experiencing a few slowdowns due to it seems underpowering (i get yellow lightning bolt icon showing, think i need an original power supply) , but i am still working this out, almost there...!! Looking absolutely wonderful otherwise!

Yeah, you need a 2 or 2.5 amp adapter. any USB connector is not suitable, not even a phone charger. The official one is best. Before that, try another cable, a thicker one. You can have a good adapter, but a weak cable. Glad you like my image, it´s pitty the impression is not perfect.

Dope release. I like how streamlined this is and that it is Amiga-centric at the same time. Thanks for the fix as well. The controls work wonderfully well. Thanks for including the ScummVM adv. games. Suggestion: since you included Arcade games, I would have liked to have seen Sharp X68000 included as a system as well with a best of list for that, but that's ok, the image is near perfect enough as is. Thanks for taking the time!!! It is a A500 mini killer! I'm not buying that POS, especially after they released the game list. P.S> Forgot to mention the obvious: aesthetically speaking, this image and the transitions are beautiful as well... Although I grew up with the ZX Spectrum, it wouldn't fit the quality of this release :0, and you did include ScummVM rather than Dosbox :) Seeing Dizzy again sure was pure nostalgia (so glad it has it's own collection)... Sharp was arcade-like: a lot of the games produced for the arcades in the late 80s and early 90s were actually programmed on the X68000 which was nicknamed the "Japanese Amiga", if I'm not mistaken. It was a computer even better than the Amiga if that is possible but primarily it just did games and synth music whereas the Amiga was more diverse with movie post-production. Exactly about the A500 mini, such a wasted opportunity. That should have been more akin to the ZX Spectrum Next release for the money they are asking...I'm glad you consolized this release (for the people it'll reach at least) and made it easier for people to play Amiga with just a controller. Yeah, I ended up favoriting 35 Amiga gems and 20 Arcade games that were also on the X68k. All I had to do was add Gradius 2, Image Fight and Marchen Maze and I'm good to go. Thanks again for such a great Amiga release!

Thanks a lot for the nice message:) Yes, I think Amigists will be happy to play on Megadrive etc. It should be more computer oriented, I wanted to add ZX Spectrum and DosBox. Sharp maybe, but it seems to me that it's practically an arcade machine. My dream was to make an A500 mini, but someone beat me to it :) 25 games and half of them are bad, I'm glad console players are finally getting a taste of the Amiga, but when they play those games they'll say "Is that the famous Amiga?" Very few of them will add WHD games. It was with a heavy heart that I added the bad games to the addon, but I wanted the opportunity to try the games from The A500 mini. Try play Sentinel - WTF is it? The A500mini was supposed to be a box for Rpi4. I've got it ordered, I'll take the inside out and put it in:)

IHello:) f possible, go to Settings (cog wheel), Raspi config and there you can set the screen mode. Another option is to connect the card to the PC, there is a small "boot" partition, there you can find the config.txt file and write hdmi_group=2 hdmi_mode=16 instead of the current mode.

hi tomas, i've a question about a save state into any games, for example into "three wonders" (inside arcade classics), if i use save state (xbox+r1), at the first time, the save state is created into file /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/arcade/3wondersu.state1, after that, if i use second time the save state or load state, the rom crash and return at the menu arcade classics. i've tried with other arcade game and this problem is not present. do you know any solution?

Thanks a lot, I'm glad people can see how much work went into it, if it made you happy, this is how it made sense:) Emulation is based on UAE configurations, it's to avoid showing the Amiberry boot which is not pretty and slows down the boot. If you want to add a game, go to the Games_WHDLoad folder, extract the LHA archive there, just like the other games. In the amiga root, copy one of the UAE configurations, rename it to the name of your new game and edit it in the notepad, change the game path for your new game. The game will then be without artwork, it won't be pretty. What kind of game is this? If it's a couple of games, I can make it for you.

Hey buddy:) Glad you like it. Login should have been "pi" and password "raspberry". If you get it right, add a game along the lines of the other games. You can find the games folder here: "./home/pi/RetroPie/roms/amiga/Games_WHDLoad/". Add the unzipped whdload folder with the game. And in the "./home/pi/RetroPie/roms/amiga/" folder take some *.uae file, rename it to your game, edit this file in some simple text editor. On the first line, change the name to "config_description=YourGame". And on those lines the path to the game: "filesystem2=rw,DH1:games:/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/amiga/Games_WHDLoad/YourGame/,0", "uaehf0=dir,rw,DH1:games:/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/amiga/Games_WHDLoad/YourGame/,0". @@MOLTEN0 Only partially. My theme is ready for Genesis, MS, SNES, TurbograFX, Arcades, Neo-Geo, NES and SCUMM. Not for 32x or Sega CD. You can copy the data via USB stick, there's a file manager. It's also over Wi-Fi. It won't be clean then though, I manically added a reflection to each boxart and made up the missing ones. I have a template in After Effects and a macro in PS. Might be better to leave the Amiga image as is and use someone else's image for the other consoles that is specialized. Good ones are from Rick Dangerous, or Wolfanoz (arcadepunks.com). I'm working on a 64GB version that will hold the other consoles, but it will be more supplemental.

It depends on whether you're using HDMI or a jack. It defaults to HDMI. You can set it in settings (cog wheel). Or press START and there are more sound options. And there's another option, in settings (cog wheel) there's an item called Eazy Hax Toolkit and there's an item called Fix sound. It happens that the sound doesn't working if you plug in the HDMI after the boot. Try a reset.

About the error, press HOME button and TRIANGLE button, (X, Y button) Quick menu will appear, go to Options, scroll down and change "Neo-Geo mode MVS" to "AES". Scroll all the way up and hit create game-options file. Reboot and it will work. That's because it's the Japanese version. Another option is to download the US version from the net and overwrite the game rom file without changing the Options. I am sorry man. It happens sometimes when you start the Raspberry first and plug the TV in later. Try sound via jack or playing around with the sound settings: In main menu > press start > system volume, or Configuration (cog wheel) > audio). Also try expanding the sd card space in Raspi-config. I don't know what could have happened, it works fine for the others. Did you format the card before? If not, do it or use another one. It also depends on the Raspberry version. It works reliably on Rpi3 and 3b+. If you have version 2, it may not work because of the small memory.

I thought this would be the one as I'm having trouble finding rpi 3b images for the Amiga.. It's looks great but first game I tried was my favourite Cannon fodder and it suffers badly from mouse glitches. Mouse get stuck half way down the screen and won't go any further, it goes back up and to the side but even then it sometimes refuses to move. Any suggestions..? I tried another lha of cannon fodder into the folder but there wasn't one there to replace... Don't know what the fuck I'm doing. I tried a new retropie and adding ammiberry but it just won't load anything including the Ammiberry cong screen. Is the latest Ammiberry no use for the Pi 3b?

Hello friend of Amiga and emulation:) With Raspberry Pi3 it's a bit more complicated because it's not very powerful hardware. It's running on an old version of Amiberry, because only the old version has the hack to increase the speed. So if you update the Amiberry, or the Emulation station kernel, it stops working. There is a way to change the configurations, but it will be slow, and starting any game will also be slow. Your mouse problem might be the monitor resolution. Are you not using a 4K monitor? Otherwise I recommend rpi4, I have an actual image on that.

After unpacking, you need to write it to the sd card, the best program for this is Balena Etcher. It writes and checks, you can skip the check. Then insert the SD card into your Raspberry3B or 3B+ and boot. It will boot twice, so don't be worried. You don't need anything else. I recommend a PS4-type controller. If you have a Raspberry 4, there's a link to a version for that too. Enjoy and give me feedback.🕹

@@ziggurat23 It'll be the frequency. Amiga games run at 50Hz, so your monitor probably doesn't support that. Other emulators should work because they run at 60Hz. You can change that frequency on the Amiga. When the game starts repeatedly press the A or B button until the menu comes up, there you will see change the resolution for the emulator and select mode 82, 1920x1080 60Hz.

I'd be happy to advise you. It's the easiest, most accessible and cheapest way to emulate and you don't need to have programming knowledge. I recommend the ETA PRIME channel kzbin.info. It's very nicely explained there. First you need a Raspberry Pi3b+, but I'm working on a version for Raspberry Pi4 in the near future, so it's worth waiting. I also recommend arcadepunks.com, where you can download lots of different images for Raspberry 3, 4, or even PC. I recommend images from Rick Dangerous, Wolfanoz, or Damaso. They also pay attention to Amiga, but it's not such a plug and play experience. Back to Advice: So first you need a Raspberry Pi, then the Balena Etcher app to write the image to an SD card, I recommend the Samsung Evo, 32GB is enough. Then you just need a controller that has joysticks like PS4 or XBOX, then a monitor or TV with HDMI. The first boot up can look scary because it repeats twice and looks like an error, then the software prompts you to define the Joypad and then you can play.

What i dont like and hope the a500mini does better are the graphical glitches and quirks on some games like Lionheart for example (messed up sky). Also on many past images i always missed essential games like PP Hammer, Myth or Rock&Roll. Have to try this image out. Looks like there is much love and effort flowing in to this image.

It can also be bad if you didn't format the card before and just overwrote the old image. I use SD card formatter and for writing packed Etcher. Try giving it a shot. I don't know if the image could be corrupted.

Can you add Amiga CD32 games to it after you write the image?

You can add whatever you want if your SD card is big enough. First you have to expand the space in Raspi-config. If you want to add it as a separate system, CD32 has its own icon in the theme. You have to create a folder for CD32 among the other systems. Then you have to add a few lines to "es_systems.cfg", defacto copy the lines where Amiga is and change the name to cd32 that you create (ask me for details). But after you succeed you'll have games without artwork and even if you add it with scraper it will be inconsistent, and that's why I've been doing everything manually for years. I'm going to add CD32 to the next version of Rpi4.

@@txtworld I plan to add CD32 games, but they take up too much space. So it'll just be a couple dozen. By the way, I prefer mods than CD32 tracks. For example Benefactor, or Bubba n Stix. Music from CD tracks does not go through the Amiga:)

Yes, One man Team:) It took me a few years, I've been working on it since 2015, not full time of course. Just in the evenings and weekends and when the mood strikes. Most of the work was to set up the controls and display for each game handle. The Amiberry creators keep redoing the emulator, and with that I had to adjust all the configurations more than once. For the last 3 months I've been redoing everything for the PUAE emulator again, because I was sick of it. So soon there will be a version for Rpi4;)

@@lovedecors I'm glad my work didn't go to waste. I had to do it because I've been dreaming about it since I was 15. There weren't that many options on the Amiga back then, and WHDload wasn't free, and not that many games were available. With emulation and Raspberry it was all possible in the end. Amiga is my only love, I don't have anyone else, so I have time for that too. If I had a family, I would probably never do anything like this. We have a saying: Everything bad is good for something. About the video shadow, the only problem is the video is delayed and the shadow would be there before the video. I actually had a shadow there and since it didn't look good, I removed it. (You can try it yourself, all the graphics are there) I'm thinking of putting the videos in monitor and TV frames like some other themes have, won't it have that clean look then though, what do you think?

​@@tomaskonvicka4135 Not sure if you are open to suggestions, but in the hope you are, I'd REALLY like to see a collection even more laser focused on 8 and 16 bit home computers, perhaps even excluding the consoles entirely, as retro consoles seem to be represented a lot more in general. In particular, I’d be delighted to see a Tomato Amiga like collection for just the Sinclair Spectrum systems (and possibly the Sam) e.g. to let us create our own Spectrum mini on the pi400 (the poor old speccy feels sorely unrepresented in this area, while the C64 had mini and maxi consoles & plug & play joystick). Looking at the 16 bit side, well there is obviously the Atari ST, though it does share a lot of games with the Amiga, not sure if it has enough unique games. However, one 16 bit computer that totally fascinates yet eludes me is the Japan only X68000! Popular at a similar time to the Amiga and with a similar (slightly superior I think) spec, yet a totally different games library to explore. Of course, language is an issue with the RPGs, but I’m sure there are plenty of arcade and action titles that could be fun even without a knowledge of Japanese. I know it hosted some of the best arcade conversions of it’s time, but I bet there were some decent exclusives in there too...

There's a major catch, I didn't grow up with and develop a relationship with those other computers. The C64 and Spectrum still do, because that's what my friends had, so expect them in the next release. It's worse with the Atari ST, I have a bit of an aversion to it thanks to the Tramiel family not making it easy for the Amiga creators. I'd put 100 games on there, but there's probably a floppy disk problem because there's no such thing as WHDload and my philosophy is that a kid or a console player :) can pick it up and play it without thinking. As for the X68000, it's definitely more powerful than the Amiga and didn't get as much popularity. Most arcade games were programmed on the X68000, so it has identical games and would more or less duplicate them. My preference would be to focus on the DOS BOX, where the games are completely different and have had a radical impact for history. Setting up each game for the controller won't be easy, but it's a challenge. I'm on my own, so it will take a long time. Acorn Archimedes deserves more love, the computer that makes us have Raspberry now (I think).

No regrets for cancelling my order of the A500 mini a few months back. Watched 3 reviews today (3/21) which all seemed to be forced advertising/scripting at best. Only one included some dubious (latency) comparisons with a rpi400. The mini does not allow you to load adf, just whdload lha archives, and basically has the same settings as any amiga emulator on a rpi 3B+. Obviously it does not include art for the whdload games you'd put on an USB, so what's the point of getting the mini rather than your image for instance!? Basically for a shit selection of 25 games, a cheap plastic box with no keyboard, orange pi-like outdated hardware, a shit mouse (nobody asked for) and a controller (fine, at least the controller is nostalgic) they are asking $140. (Read this last sentence one more time; is this what the glory days of the Amiga 500 reminds you of? Not me, I see no association! Some of the included games don't even have the original intros...) I bet you there's no A500 maxi coming... :0 I hope they tank (pun intended). There are much better deals out there still. You can still buy the best of the mini consoles so far: the PC Engine Mini from Japan for $99. There's the SNK Arcade Stick Pro for around $100 which you can modify with all of the Neo Geo games and beyond with 1000s of games from different systems on a USB stick, all with artwork. Then there's the AtGames Legends Gamer Mini I recently got for $50 (this one you can put Coinopsx on and add 1000s of arcade games). Or you can just get a modified, reconditioned and re-capped Japanese Sega Saturn which will play any region (including all the Japanese imports) for under $175.

I also didn't order the other mini consoles because of the poor game selection and now I regret it. Still, at least I should have gotten the mini Amiga. What ironically made the selection worse is the WHDload option, if it wasn't there they would have tried a bit harder. One thing I don't understand, how come other mini consoles have a bigger selection of games for half the price? Those licenses must have been expensive as hell, unless they own them themselves. I would think they would get better games out there for the same money, the lesser known good games. For example, if they got Pinball Dreams, they'd get Benefactor. Speaking of licenses, one thing absolutely drives me nuts. I understand if someone owns a license, they don't want to sell it cheap, but what are they going to do with it? All the owners can do is shove it up their asses, this was basically the last chance to capitalize on it.

@@andimarks7187 Maybe the mini Amiga is more expensive because it's not as popular as the other consoles. Computer emulation has always been more complicated than console emulation. The kickstarts license from Cloanto cost something, too. They also gave something to the makers of Amiberry etc. BTW, it really shocked me when one of those youtubers (Retro Recipes) started WHDload and a modified version of Amiberry launched. Anyway, I had to switch to P-UAE because Amiberry got horribly worse. If the Mini Amiga is running the latest version, it won't be pretty. Maybe they should have just made a Retroflag style box for the Raspberry. But that would only be for Amiga fans, and now I'm glad to see Amiga getting more exposure, even if not in the most representational way.

Erm.. not really.. The A500 mini will be a good and fun starter for those who dont want to mess around with these emulators and faff. Also the roms come with the mini so no extra costs plus you can side load games. Im getting the A500 to go along side all my other mini consoles. Its great that a UK based company is doing this not only to support the community but also the Amiga software holders etc.
