Thank you for this recipe. I made this when I was having a BBQ, and everyone loved it. I did not add the sodium benzoate when I made the sauce, but I added a sprig of rosemary from my garden. It is much better than normal supermarket ketchup as it has far less sugar. Enjoyed it :)

It will definitely taste little different and have a fresh tomato taste. Outside ketchup has preservatives for a longer shelf life. Home made ketchup will have a lesser shelf life comparatively as less or no preservative is added.

It's perfectly prepared and presented. I prefer not to use water to boil tomatoes. I watched some of the preparation of tomato ketchup where water has been used to boil tomatoes. And even I suggested them not to use water to boil tomatoes. Thanks for sharing .

We would suggest you do not use citric acid, the natural tanginess from tomatoes is enough to make this ketchup.
