Oh my Gosh, I am so hungry for some good sweet corn. You were making my mouth water eating that beautiful looking sweet corn. Those flowers in the vase look like "Nicotiana" I used to grow them all the time in my beds, they are a very pretty flower. I see the Old goat hiding behind that pile of potatoes. :) Love your show and I especially liked the tomato testing....Ive got some new varieties I need to try now.

I absolutely LOVE your tasting videos! Great content about MATOES! I am educated every time! I come from a farming family, never knew about determinate or indeterminate tomatoes or all the different varieties. You BOTH are amazing at growing, tasting and educating us as well as ENTERTAINING US, with gardening facts. God Bless you and your family! I haven't a clue about the flowers, so I'll tune in next time to learn! Coming from way up north near Canada, we never grew tobacco, so IF Carolina Hennig below is correct I will learn again!

Tobacco flowers! I think they are beautiful! I’m in central Arkansas zone 7b and the Large Barred Boar and Barry Crazy Cherry are staples in my garden!! The Large Barred Boar doesn’t get as tall as a normal indeterminate tomato, has thin flesh, a pretty good producer, and taste really good! The Barry’s crazy cherry isn’t our favorite tasting cherry but man does it set fruit like crazy!! Looks like I’ll be adding your lemon boy seeds next year!

YUMMY! The best part of gardening. EATING, and taste testing! Get some more of those yellow and orange watermelons up here in Michigan. I just got a seeded red out of the local grocery store. It's a 9.5 out of 10. I'm looking forward to my 12 different varieties of tomatoes I have planted. I don't like a lot of seeds/voids in my tomatoes. And the Lemon Boy which I had last year was lacking flavor. It's interesting that you liked it. There's no wrong answers here.

Old goat has been digging up his 'taters this week. Looks like he brought in a good crop or Red Norland's on the 2nd shelf behind Mama Hoss. Those are "Nicotinia" blossoms (tobacco flowers). If I had to guess further, it's from the Heritage Gold variety (a variant of the old Virginia gold?). How did I do on that one there, Boss? My granddaddy took a shot at growing some in the 60's on his 55 acre retirement hobby farm. Looks like the Seminole XR corn has a built in handle for fresh eating! We have Primus and Sweetness planted right now, but I may have to give Seminole XR a try! Greg, your Yellow Doll watermelons are ahead of ours (zone 8a vs your 8b is about a 1-2 week difference). That is one fine looking watermelon! We are looking forward to sharing ours with our grandson soon though! For our "novelty" tomatoes this year I'm growing "Mountain Gold" from Dr Gardner at NC State Mountain Research Station, and "Sunny Boy". Both are yellow/gold and lower acid types. Another great show, and it's time to get dirty.....
