I've always hated that ground floor BS too. The second floor can't be the first floor if a floor already exists. It's the second floor, whether you call the first the first or the ground. Annoying tosspots.

This is such a great game. Amazing to see just how far they managed to push a game engine this old. I'd love to see it in a different, more up-to-date engine. Maybe if Zenimax ever releases Id Tech 5, there would be an easy upgrade path.

I played Thief 2 after watching his video so I figured I would try the Dark Mod. Not sure if they changed something or I just suck cause I could barely beat the training. So I feel for him at the start.

@@xxfrosty609xx3 Considering it's free, takes up barely any space and is just a collection of fun fan missions, why shouldn't you? I'd recommend beating the mainline thief games (1-3) first though, if you haven't yet. I love the modders, but the real campaigns set in the world of thief are fun on another level. There's a reason they spawned this community to begin with.

It's apparently a cultural thing, ground floor = first floor in the US, while 1st floor in the UK = 2nd floor in US

Yeah there's difference between UK and US standards of labelling floors. Ground floor is the ground, floor 1 is the second one up. It actually fucks with me because I'm used to American TV shows, movies, books.
