I reuse long sticks or even old mop sticks lying around in the homesteads to create stakes. This eliminates the need for me to purchase tomato stakes and I can garden on a budget. You can reuse left over building materials to create tomato stakes including metal bars or even the stiff PVC pipes. The goal of enjoying gardening on a budget is to find items you can reuse to support plants.
