Masha Allah Bahutt acche. I suggest you also to read the two famous books on Tipu sulan 1 - Saltanat e Khudadad by Mahmood Khan & 2 - Tipu sultan Shaheed. Both are in Urdu and are available in Bangalore in any Urud book store Also, there was an incident when Allaman Iqbal Visited TIpu sultan's grave and after sometime started crying. When asked why, he said the soil of Tipu sultan is better than all of us. He also wrote a small nazzm on his experience when he visited Tipu sultan Grave called "DANA E RAAZ DIYAR E DAKAN MEIN" Jazak Allah

Great grandfather of Hyder Ali was born in Punjab and grandfather of Hyder Ali came to Gulbarga and then on they moved to sira, then budikote and kolar. Later on they came to Srirangapatna. And it is also said That fath Mohammads 7 or 8 th great grandfathers were descendents of Quraish clan from mecca. They had migrated to Iraq hundreds of years ago and mostly they were associated with Sufi saints and few were also small merchants. We do not know for sure. There is also a saying that their lineage goes towards Awaan clan that is related to Imaam Ali ( R.A ) Since the geographical and the kingdoms were hugely divided into small fragments but it is confirmed that they had generations of living in Punjab. So basically they were Punjabis Who later in life became Kannadigas.
