Not me. Played RTS first and wait for the outcome to fight the winner side in a weaker state. But the monks werent agressive. Saved ammo as much as I could.

This level is long (finding 5 prayer wheels) and hard (traps) Secrets: Silver, Gold and Jade Dragons (random order) - bonus: M16's ammo x4 Items: Main Hall key (first key), Prayer Wheels x5, strong room key, rooftops key, gem stones x2, trapdoor key Neutral guys: monks -> do not shoot them Enemies: Fiamma Nera Killers with automatic pistol Fiamma Nera Killers with uzi (e.g. at 25:22) -> these enemies also appear in Catacombs of the Talion Crows

Such a nice level, it's big and have a really cool level structure, like you first arrive at the monastery main hall and think there're too much paths to go and feel lost, but then you start to progress and realize how things work there and feel very acomplished. Those monks walking around and fighting enemies is kinda funny, also unfair for the enemies because they got bodied by the monks. Unfortunately I shot one of the monks and then every single one of them tried to kill me 😂

This level felt like a real maze! I kept entering new chambers and it seemed to have no end, I can't believe I completed it without checking out the solution, what a huge success 😂

The strongroom is protected by two rotten pieces of wood that everyone can kick down easily, but Lara needs a key even with pistols, granade launcher at her disposal.

You have to be careful not to shoot the monks, it makes every one of them hostile. If there is a fight between the Fammia Nera and the monks, I tend to let it play out because you might accidentally shoot a monk.

Man this level is a killer!!! I’ve finished it with basically no ammo at all and 2 small medi packs because I had to fight all the monks too! God knows what I’m gonna do on the following levels with nothing to use on them.

Hint for anyone playing the remaster at @24:00 follow the monk and make sure you kill the enemy I have a game breaker where I continue the level and come back to this stage and the monk is dead and about 8 monks are on a rampage for myself. If you are going for the trophy where you keep all monks alive. Or make a save here so if you do come back and they have been killed you can replay it. Will save alot of time as I have a way earlier save which I cannot be bothered to reload as I am doing my only pistols and every collectable playthrough.

Don’t shoot them. Aim for the thugs if you can and not near where the monks are at

You need to shoot through the window, drop down, and pull the switch to let the monks deal with them. Even with full health, it's next to impossible to kill them without using health packs.

I was shocked playing the remastered and finding out by chance that the monks are friendly if you don’t shoot them 😂 I feel cheated for all the stress I went through killing the never ending stream of them years ago. Reminds me of the RPG Undertale where you can choose to be a pacifist but again not knowing I killed every single one.

Because the monks already know who the fiamma Nera are and have beef with them. I’m guessing they naturally just don’t attack people who come there bc well, they’re monks, but clearly they make an exception for crazy cultists with an even crazier leader who’s hellbent on getting the dagger to become a dragon 🐉 and I don’t think the monks were aware why Lara was there tbh

You shooted at one of them, so all monks are attacking you (they don't forget. Level restart is the only thing you can do)

Yo! I'm super low on Health and I got no medkits, HELP! Are there any located on the map, I've done a good chunk of the level so I can do a lot of free roaming but I'm stuck in 2 areas with huge hotspots of enemies.... No one is dropping medkits :'(

Alot of times they were trying to sell the strategy guide, which I feel is the reason a lot of these levels are basically impossible to figure out. Thank you for your vids! They've helped me so much through the remaster 20+ yrs later 🥹🥰
