You don't need to have a breathalyser in France, so don't waste your money. For France(and also Switzerland) if you wear glasses when driving you need to have a spare set of glasses in the car. Also you need to have a vignette if driving on the Swiss motorways, which can be bought at most border crossings. These run from Jan to Dec and cost about £35. The same goes for Austria and Slovenia, except these can be bought for shorter periods (7-10 days).

Great video. Did you change from miles to km to make things easier, also regarding speed limits ?
@TommysGuitar Жыл бұрын
Yes i did directly from the menu in-car. It certainly helped, especially with the Dry and Wet Speed limits that France uses. The car autopilot automatically adjusts to this which I found really interesting!

Enjoyed that video! Should do some more Tesla content. Did you work out the cost in the end?
@TommysGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! Yes the cost worked out about £275 or so for electric at the time. In comparison to a similar sided valve petrol sedan 40mpg/400mi to a tank worked out about £5-600 or so :)

What a wonderful trip. Thanks for taking us along. How difficult would you say is it to drive for extended time on the wrong side of the road when the steering wheel is wrong? I am asking, because I am thinking about taking my Tesla from Munich to Liverpool
@TommysGuitar Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! I’d say after a day it will start to feel normal as it takes a little while to adjust (mainly to roundabouts and junctions). I’d recommend setting the Km/mi before you enter the new country as this as well provides you with accurate road signage and speed limits. For example in France, the tesla works out a wet and dry speed limit based upon if it is raining or not. Something we don’t have in the UK that I noticed on the trip! Ultimately it’s if you feel comfortable but I got used to it quick enough :)

i wanted to ask how driving in Italy is? are there a lot of tolls and are the roads quite safe?
@TommysGuitar Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. In general I’d say it is safe but the main point of the trip I ever felt I needed to concentrate was the small mountain roads around the lakes and central Rome. I’d highly recommend reserving a parking space in Rome! Apart from that a breeze

Your trip looked awesome! How much did you roughly spend on supercharging from start to finish?
@borinvlogs Жыл бұрын
charging price of supercharger is about 35p so i am guessing around £210-230 for the whole road trip. Bargain.

What I’d do differently - either same amount of stops more time at each, or less stops and more time at each :D never enough time but Rome was totally worth it!

@TommysGuitar Жыл бұрын
In my opinion if you are doing a long distance road trip once or twice a year, and your daily commute is under 100 miles, easily the Rear Wheel Drive is enough. You stop more for food/drink and toilet breaks than the car needs to charge Thanks for watching!
@jli131 Жыл бұрын
how much you pay for the ev cost for this 2500 miles
@TommysGuitar Жыл бұрын
Hi Joseph, at the time it cost me around £280 for the supercharging, factoring in the free hotel charging that was available through the trip! Makes a good saving relative to a 40mph ICE that would be about £5-£600 mark. Thanks for watching!
