“I want you from now and forever to imagine yourself standing in a room with 1000 doors, and your job is to know better than anyone else in the company - better than anyone else on the planet - which 999 of those doors to close. That's business.”
In my latest #keynote, I reveal the number one job of every business owner, explain the necessity of thinking from first principles, and challenge audience members to ask me the hardest business question they can think of.
This keynote was filmed at the Driven to Success event in Los Angeles, CA on September 25th, 2021

QUOTES:
“Your business won't fail because of lack of opportunity, your business will fail because you pursue the WRONG opportunity.” [14:15]
“Until you have so much clarity that you know what to do with the next 15 minutes, you're lost. If the next 15 minutes isn't self evident to you, you're lost. So whenever you're like, “I'm not sure what the next move is,” it's because you don't have enough clarity.” [19:11]
“If you can't solve a novel problem, all you can do is copy. Now you can make a career out of being a fast follower. But the only way to get where you want to go is to be able to solve a novel problem.” [22:41]
“The only way to win in life is to be more prepared than everybody else. If you want to win a gold medal in the Olympics, you actually have to be better at that sport than any other human being on planet Earth.” [32:15]
“You can learn anything - but you can also hire almost everything. So the only thing that you must get good at is decision making. If you're not good at decision making, you work for somebody else.” [42:21]
“I promise you, there is not a single problem in any business anywhere where the right set of questions won't lead you to the right answer.” [55:37]

Nothing, I am the best version of myself now. I'm not as successful as you but I am very very successful in life and I'm super super happy. It would be fun to attend an event like this one , though because I enjoy listening to motivational speakers. I've seen a ton including Zig Ziggler.

@Tom Bilyeu you’re so rad! I somehow stumbled across Impact Theory in 2019 when I was living with my mom while recovering from a 5 year heroin addiction living on the streets of San Francisco for much of that time and I can’t even express to you how impactful your selfless work has been in my recovery! I also had spent most of my life lying in bed paralyzed with fear and watching your interviews made me get the fuck up outta my bed and do something even while getting off drugs. So much gratitude for you!

"Gain knowledge today, use it today! Not tomorrow!" "Learn a little, take a lot of actions, and repeat!" This really resonates with me. Whenever I learn a new workout routine, I use it the same day and that's how I improved constantly over the years. I have to apply this principle to other areas of life as well.

Amazing performance and speech. My biggest takeaway was a short sentence Tom said when talking about fulfillment. It was this: Find something that gives you more energy than it takes. I've been living in China for 8 years now. Moved abruptly from my well-paying job because I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and see some of the world. 4 years later I have a degree in Chinese language. Then moved into teaching English which I still am. Something which I'm not sure whether or not to continue pursing and putting in effort to improve. Even though I've come such a long way and improved so much with my teaching skills, I feel it takes more energy than it gives me. So I guess I need clarity as which path I want to take next. Keep improving to get to a mastery level of teaching, OR find another path in life. Thanks Tom for your content!

Ok why am I just now seeing this. I am thinking its because a month ago I wasn't ready to take in the plethora of info Tom gives. I literally just wrote down all the points in this video he gives. Not because I am a business woman but because I can see how all his points can be used in just everyday life not just for business. But maybe its just me I don't know. Also isn't it just entertaining to watch Tom alfa himself and demand your attention. Not in an arrogant way but in a strong helpful way. His stage presence are goals.

I've appreciated the value of your content from your interviews for a long time. I gained respect for your experience and knowledge from watching you share that in this video today but to be honest, I only started to truly love you and what you are doing when you stated your fundamental goal to expose everyone to self development and the mindset of a go-getter by the age of 15. That is a call to arms worth rallying behind.

clarity. goal, obstacles, more actions than learning, learn from mistake, fall flat in public laugh internally when the other laughs, there is always room for the best. ( from memory ) / also the brain associate emotion with something without the word between that's can f u up because you don't know why you are afraid to do something. The solution rewrite your brain expectation about reality by action. by replacing fear with action and success. so now your brain is addicted to success and good emotions.

I realized that the secret to making a million is making better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Car or that vacation just yet and that mindset helps me make more money invest:ng. For example last year I invested 70k in blue chip stocks and crypt0 s (with the help of my advisor of course) and made about 380k, but guess what? I put it back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million. Delayed gratification always pays off
