You get rewarded for the value you produce, not the time and effort you put in. The time and effort are prerequisites for getting results, but remember they are not what is measured.

Tom, I hope you read this - you've made a huge impact on my life and you've really given me the kick in the ass I needed to put in the hours and chase the things I'm passionate about. I don't always agree with everything you or your guests say, but I get so much value out of your show and the persona you've cultivated, and I wanted to share that. I didn't quit my job and take up photography in some exotic capacity - I'm a normal dude with a normal job, but I have big dreams and I have an insatiable hunger that I feed through pushing myself in multiple avenues, both physical and mental. I love to watch anime and shows where grit and the desire to break limits are cornerstones, and your show and channel is no exception. I'm slowly weaning myself off your content if i'm honest, because I can't watch impact theory all day. But you've lit a fire in my belly that I'm now fanning into a blaze that engulfs every inch of me. That one post you wrote (I think yesterday?) about how you laughed at your mind's craving for nuts during a fast made me tingle with a desire for that level of self mastery. I want to claim absolute control over my body and tame my desires the way you have, and I think I'm well on my way to doing so. Thanks for doing what you do, and know that you've touched my life in a transformative way. Maybe one day when I become the person I'm chasing, I'll get to meet you and thank you in person. Thanks for reading man. Sas

Being result-driven is extremely important because people who try to only enjoy the ride don't focus on the results. It doesn't really make sense that we should enjoy the ride when the ride consists of failing multiple times, crying, and getting back off the floor. One example would be getting through medical school. There's nothing enjoyable about it.

Amazing talk by the way. I literally hate “motivational talks” because I am the type of person who creates his own motive for action. But this indirectly inspired the shit out of me while giving me extremely valuable lessons. Thank you Tom.

Being a huge fan of "Impact Theory", I have heard a story of how it came into being a million times and still, every single time, I find important value creation tips that push me to work harder. And today's take away is that , above all else, you should never ever tolerate shit performance from yourself. It is not about marketing or branding or coming up with a new name, it is about working on every detail obsessively and making sure yhat your perfomance and your value is undeniable.

Life only responds to results. No explanation, No excuses, Not reasons. only results. It doesn't matter how hard you work. Many people work hard too, poor people work as hard as rich people. Nobody cares how much you struggle because at the end of the day only results matters. The results are the only metric that matters so don't be stuck on the process or how you feel about it too much because when you get the results you won't care and nobody will care what it took you to be there. Be results oriented not process oriented. Process whether is easy or hard don't matter. The results will make you happier and make your life better. The greatest people in history are not remembered because they struggle, they are remembered because the things they accomplished.

Elizabeth Mitchell is he? I have watched a few of his talks, and find the guest interviews fascinating. Call me old fashioned, but I really dislike swearing by public speakers, as he often does, as it never adds value. The guy in this video introduced him as the "Napoleon Hill" of this era. If he is truly Atheist then this statement would be far from accurate as Hill founded his teachings in faith in God, which I identify with.

At first I thought like ... Dude this guy is just copy pasting Gary Vaynerchuck. He's even literally sometimes saying the same things or 'kind of the same things'. He's 'faking it' But then I realized... they are all the same... they have the same mindset, the same principles... It's a successful mindset for a reason... Of course they feel so similar.

Nathanael Morton Elizabeth Mitchell Darin Fredrickson Wow! So when do you condemn someone for having a certain belief? So you believe in a God? Now should I judge you on that belief and in turn disregard anything you say going forward? You need a growth mindset. Little tip of advice; you can disagree with someone with a belief that you don't value or that society does not value, (Ex: Murder). But, you can always learn from someone despite all their values are not inline with your own.
