Tom! I'll admit last year I didn't watch you as much. This year I really like what you have done and shown. Job well done Sir! Be safe and walleyes beware.

Hey Tom, thanks for the informative, fun, and entertaining videos👍 Could you explain more or do a video about hope you find “structure” on contour maps (any lake is fine, multiple sizes of lake examples would be great)… I am a walleye now subscriber so I’ll dig around there to try to find info as well.. thanks buddy, God bless🙌

I'm curious as to why you mess around tightening and loosening your drag on your dead stick rod. Why not just put a bait feeder reel on it? Is it a personal preference thing or is there some technical reasoning behind it?
@alj631920 сағат бұрын
None of the baitfeeders available for ice fishing are of very high quality. Shimano needs to make a Sedona baitfeeder in a 1000 size.
@MrNiceguy2989-u3v3 күн бұрын
A bait feed reel would work better for the dead sticks
@alj631920 сағат бұрын
None of the appropriately sized baitfeeder reels are near the quality of smoothness and drag performance as reels he is using. I went that route and had to ditch all my Okuma trash.

We don’t have bass here so I’d be happy to catch bass lol and nothing wrong with pike but the little hammer handle pike are a pain in the butt lol as most are live wires when out the hole ,

@Saskatchewan1984 feed the hammer handle pike to the Eagles ...🤔 ...pike will wreck the walleye fishing 🎣
@Saskatchewan19844 күн бұрын
@ every fish in the lake has its perpurpose , be like pike fisherman saying walleye are ruining the pike fishing lol , pike do eat walleye but don’t eat as many as you think atleast here anyway , here it’s highly illegal to waste any game fish / any fish with a limit , big fines if caught and loss of fishing license for 1 to 5 years ,
@JAB007774 күн бұрын
@Saskatchewan1984 naturally ...A " Karen " here ...WTF ....so I can't feed the bass to eagles too 🤔 ......bass and Pike wreck lakes !!!! ....what part of that don't you get ..
@nathangravel35844 күн бұрын
@@JAB00777your an idiot, look at the Great Lakes such as Huron, they co exist here and have phenomenal fishing for each species. Some spots have 30” walleye, 45” pike and big smallies in the same spot.

So you're now pushing the 45" M extra fast Elliott rod? A few videos back in the gear review You said you had 3 workhorse rods that do most of the fishing. When you said the 44 medium light was your main workhorse & favorite, and the 42 inch medium for the bigger fish. I see this is now about selling for a sponsor & not about Sharing wisdom! I bought 3 rods at your recommendation, dead stick, 42" medium fast, 44" ML F, then had to buy the elliot xl case for $200 since nobody else sells such a large case for these long rods. $500! & they're all MADE IN CHINA Great job! 👏
@drewandcharlie75833 күн бұрын
C’mon tom boley. This is all fake. You have a 20 acre pond in your backyard and where you keep giant fish as pets. somehow you catch fish that are consistently 40% bigger than everyone else. 😂 Must be pets.
