Val Kilmer should have gotten an Oscar for that performance. He was awesometacular!

In my opinion, Doc Holiday is Val Kilmer's best role followed very closely by his portrayal of Jim Morrison in The Doors movie.

This is hands down one of the best westerns ever made and one of my favorite Kurt Russell movies. The fights were well choreographed, the acting amazing, and the blood wasn't too over top like most westerns today. Overall it was a well rounded movie and it makes me wish there were more movies like this one. What shocks me the most is you haven't seen this movie until now. Love the show, keep up the good work.

Mattie and Wyatt are not believed to have ever been officially married, but by 1879 everyone accepted Mattie as Wyatt’s common law wife. Mattie suffered from severe migraine headaches, and while in Tombstone she became addicted to laudanum, a commonly used pain killer of the day.

Let's look at the cast for a moment: Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Bill Paxton, Sam Elliott, Powers Boothe, Michael Biehn (and Rooker), Billy Bob Thornton, Charlton Heston, Billy Zane, Thomas Haden Church, Steven Lang, Jason Priestly, and a few others. GODDAMN!

Between this, "The Doors," "Heat," "The Ghost and The Darkness," and "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang," - i honestly don't know how people can claim Val Kilmer isn't one of the best actors of the last 30 or so years. So he was a dick to work with, so are plenty of other actors, but he's great in everything i've seen him in.

I love this movie. What a lot of people don't know is that a lot of frontier towns in the west had gun control, more like weapon control. Before you entered a town, you had to turn in your guns and knives to law enforcement. People weren't allowed to open and conceal carry weapons in town, however, you can own guns in your own house for protection or outside of the city limits. It was stupid not to. So no, the NRA wouldn't like the U.S. to be like the Wild West.

Tombstone came out just a few months before Kevin Costner’s Wyatt Earp. It was considered something of a B-movie compared to that one and didn’t get a universally positive reception from critics. It’s funny, I clearly remember discussing this with my best friend in school back in ‘93! We thought the Costner version of the story was sooo boring! 😂. So anyway, the audience for the movie may have been split by those waiting for the more oscar-baity Wyatt Earp, which I think was quite we’ll publicised. Just a thought, or Whateverhaveyou...😉

Actually Sammy the movie isn't about gun control it was about political beef between two groups. Where Wyatt in history actual killed the gang as a personal videntta taking the law to his own hands as a lawman. Your friend Nick broke down the real history that that movie. There is another historical event where average citizens with guns defend themselves from criminals in there town.

I liked the story of Wyatt Earp as a part of history. Tombstone was more of a thriller; depicting how men of the law went hardcore on outlaws. But i liked Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp much more; dramatically watching the growth of becoming more than a lawman, but just a good man period.
