Not surprising though. There's a whole European market on our doorstep to sell to.

1:07 Germany is absolutely built on 'mittlestadt' industries like this. Big corporations are not the norm. Perhaps we should be taking a leaf out of their book and putting our money into more companies like this here in the UK....
@robertgibson77165 жыл бұрын
I think you need to flush the rust out of your engine and radiator and replace with top grade anti freeze at 50% 50% mix that stuff looks deadly for your water pump and alloy engine mate do this with the thermostat out

@@furiousdriving That's exactly the kind of specialist racing oriented busines that there is an abundance of in the UK becasue the UK is really the home of racing development. You guys were always good a specialist stuff but not as good at volume manufacturing.
@furiousdriving5 жыл бұрын
Yes, precision and specialist engineering is what we do well, all the F1 teams are based here but volume tends to be too expensive as land and labour is more
@ShortCycle.5 жыл бұрын
Now I know why they're called Gaz... They're from Essex! Being serious though it's great to see such work still happening in the UK and that Gaz stand-by what they make. Btw You'd have done better with a TFR spray or steam clean under the arch.. and get a PA foam attachment. Far better.
@alanbellwood39025 жыл бұрын
That was a weak snow foam mix 😮 Think Gaz may now be no 1 contender for my coilovers I had no idea of the engineering and skills they support in the uk.
@furiousdriving5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, first rate server. I was so impressed to see this kind of precision engineering going on so close to home. I really hope I can make more people aware of them and their skills.

Was that coolant really the filthy rusty ditchwater like it looks in the video ? And you carefully topped it up with “ pink rover-friendly antifreeze” ? Drain.. flush..rinse..repeat..
@kevinjohnson19585 жыл бұрын
I couldn't have fitted that thermostat with that rusty water. MANNOL pink ready-mix is pretty cheap on eBay.
@furiousdriving5 жыл бұрын

@johnmoruzzi72365 жыл бұрын
I'm glad ! Still... you failed an earlier MOT on emissions due to a bad temp sensor, now a failed thermostat. Those things don't like being immersed in rusty crap, so definitely have a couple of goes with e.g. Wynns rad cleaner before the MOT - even run the car without antifreeze for a bit. N.B. rust implies air in the system as well as coolant neglect, so maybe there has been a leak. Anyway as I said elsewhere, good material for a future video...

Well at least refitting the coilovers should be much easier than their removal. The new thermostat will no doubt help with emissions and as you said, changing the thermostat was far easier than it is on a CityRover.

Ermmmm the thermostat was stuck closed? It was open, you could see the fluid under it. If it was stuck closed you'd have overheated, it wasn't warming up because it was stuck open. As for the snow foam, I can see future vids escalating - "Welcome to Furious Driving (probably), in today's video I will be making a 100,000th scale match stick model of the golden gate bridge using my new induction heater to melt the glue. "Well that went well! Now I have pot holes in the drive from putting down a hot induction heater and no room to park the cars on the drive because of this 1,000th scale bridge I have built. I got carried away"
@furiousdriving5 жыл бұрын
oddly it didnt want to push down, which is closed? But being stuck open would be in keeping with it not getting up to temp.. I can see a new series starting now!
