The only engines to not have it are the autos. All manuals have it, it's to prevent the belt from skipping teeth on downshifts

does it come with a plastic gap spacer?

It does not, you could use a feeler gauge, or another way to measure the gap. The clearance per the Factory Service Manual is 0.5mm to 1mm Thanks, Rick
