Good question. It is a 50/50 on which car to follow when they split up like that, but a lot of times if a car slowed down it is having issues and might be out of control and going to hit the wall. I would rather capture that. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Ody. They would have to slow the cars down a bit if they were going to do 1,000ft or 1/4 mile races, they are already going 200 mph in the 1/8th mile on a non prepped surface. That's getting to be a bit much to ask of a car in my opinion.

Why did so many losing cars race multiple times? Like Lizzy lost earlier but then raced High Voltage at night?
@tomeighty
@tomeighty 5 жыл бұрын
If they lose in the first round they are able to enter into an "Outlaw Big Tire" race that is seperate from the $40k invitational race. So you are able to see your favorite racer race again in the night even if they got eliminated right away. It makes for a jam packed night of racing.

He fired up the car on Thursday and found he had a bent valve in the motor. So it tore the heads off and got them fixed in time on Friday morning before the race. I'm assuming either there was more problems or the valve replacement had some issue. He was pretty much lucky he was racing at all that day.

@@tomeighty Well, hope he got it all fix. Mike is a really good guy. He did some tuning for me here in San Antonio.

Kamakazi vs Dominator, don't they have like 5 seconds to lite the second bulb? Dunno but Kamakazi may have throttled up a bit quick expecting Dominator would pull on in, he should have but,,

I think it is 7 seconds they have to get into the second bulb. But with it being 99 degrees out that day and probably being super hot in his fire suit he wasn't in the mood for being burned down and just took off.

NHRA rules are 7 seconds. But like you said with high temps and up on the brake like that...parts can get damaged easy
