I can't believe I've never heard of this guy. Utter chance discovery today when I turned on radio 3 as it started a live broadcast of the Infanta's Birthday. Utterly spellbinding music. Will sit down and listen to this properly when I've got time. Thanks for the upload!

John Williams was very strongly influenced by this author not only in Star Wars, but also in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Indiana Jones and E.T. Goldsmith's Star Trek and Broughton's Lost in Space are no exception. Schrecker is a total genius that the world has yet to rediscover

Il s'agirait ici d'une des rares versions intégrales de l'Opéra de Franz Schreker. C'est son premier mérite. Par ailleurs orchestre et chef sont irréprochables. Dommage que le rôle de Carlotta soit une parfaite erreur de distribution.
