They really only need to get rid of the Portuguese (r)-(e)-(t)-(a)-(r)-(d) and his butt buddy Marcus Rashbonlahor and they can actually build a fairly competent team with the players they have, well, outside of the (d) (e) (l) (u) (s) (i) (o) (n) (a) (l) Ronaldo fanboy, Garnacho and Hojilund. They can hire a coach to assemble a team that keeps possession. There's ultimately no way anyone can be a competent team with turnover liabilities like the buck-tooth ratman and Rashford. Their fundamentals are so atrocious that any system would break down after a few months

Some teams that could be good would be Blackburn, Nottingham Forest and Ajax would be cool to see just how far they can go and what would be cool is to see how well those teams then do for another 5 seasons without you incharge to see if you set up the team for the future.

@tomFM For these big saves, it would be great if you would show the progress of players attributes as you go through the seasons. Just finished watching season 8 and you're talking about if Hojlund or Garnacho can win the Balon D'or, yet as a viewer I feel a little out of the context as we don't really know how 'good' a player they've become. Showing their stats and attributes might help.

I wish FM would let you do snapshots so you could click on a player's profile and it would show you their stats from say July 1st every year so you could easily compare their progress

Tom, i had a suggestion video, first id like to say im sorry if you already have one and i couldnt find it, ive done this myelf and its very fun, Turn a small european league into the most respected league in europe, i often go with denmark but anyone quite low, Do it your own way but youll need to bounce around clubs in one nation and leave them in very good positions, When you leave theyll generally be a mass exodus of players so keeping some young unproven players at clubs to fill positions is best. Personal highlights from my own play throughs; When a club i havent managed in my league wins a continental cup, remember the first europa league was a magic moment, When clubs promoted to the league started spending huge amounts of money to try survive in the league (remember a small club promoted and spending 100mill plus for the first time) Remember a moment when a man city player (still english champs) moaned that he wanted to move to a bigger club after a danish club had an offer rejected 😅 (that was verynlate game and i thought jobs done) When the danish national team win its first world cup with one of the best teams in the comp, they had under proformed for so long but eventually the golden generation brought hoke the trophy. It would make a nice video i believe because it leaves a lot of history on its way, the first champs league, moving up the ranks in the rep league table, seeing clubs become more risky in transfers and heros be made.

I got Espesito for 1mil on my United rebuild and I had the exact same pattern, just hit a burst of goals so I couldn’t drop him and he out scored Haaland every year. I also replaced Fernandes with Wirtz. Seems there is only one way to rebuild United.

I was a super fan of Football Manager 2008... tried Fm24, coudnt really get used to it. So chaotic, so much time wasted for stupid things like staff meeting ecc ecc... i think i'll try to install FM08 again after so many years

You can delegate or ignore most of those things. You sometimes have to do the first meeting but after that just delegate to your assistant if you find it annoying

Doing a balloon d'Or challenge on FM is basically gambling. Is not based on how players performed during a season but mostly random. Perfect example? In my save Bellingham won the balloon d'Or when Real Madrid finished 5° in la liga, 19° in the champions league losing the playoff, lost in the semi final of the cup and out of the group stage in the world cup with England. In the meantime with Liverpool I won the quadruple. Facundo Buonanotte scored 68 goals in every competition with the reds and won the world cup with Argentina scoring 11 goals. He was the top scorer of every competition he played in, Balloon d'Or? Not even in the top 3.
