I got to get me one of these!! Looks very promising. This is the most impresive gas grill conversion i have seen. I have tried other ones too but I wasn’t too impressed with them since they don’t produce enough smoke. My hat off to the guy who made this little gizmo.

Very cool Tom! I bought Napoleon's cast iron charcoal tray for my gas grill. It works pretty well, but the air holes are huge, and I have to use an ash vacuum to clean my grill out afterwards. This looks much better!

That’s a cool idea. Kalamazoo makes a zillion dollar grill that uses this idea for wood/smoke. This is brilliant to make these for many grills. Very good.

For us Monument owners, what Depth did you order? My Monument Mesa is 16 1/2", but looks like 16 1/4" will work. No point in asking for anything custom. Also do you think I can just leave this in all the time?
