CL Power is Tomix's Constant Lighting power mode offered on some of their controllers. In CL mode with a compatible controller, you can run the vacuum motor at full speed all the time while running the train at a slow speed to get the best cleaning performance.

2:07 The black pad is used to clear oxidation. Any dirt or material that is basically stuck to the track and cannot be removed by simple track cleaners would be cleaned by this.

Good to know.

A Union Pacific Centennial locomotive would also work with that as well.

I have one of these too, like you I can't read Japanese. But I figured out the vacuum feature quickly, I can't get it to sit right on the track with the sanding or polishing attachments so I just use the vacuum. I scrub the track using a special sanding block. I like putting the locomotive behind the cleaning car and pushing it cause of the weight.

How is sucking up dust cleaning dirt off the track, n are you using Tommix track ?
@ModelTrainsWow4 жыл бұрын
I have all Kato Unitrack, it seems to work pretty good. One time around and it's all dusty inside. I usually run it around twice and then another circuit the opposite way once a month and that seems to do the job.

can this work on DCC or do you need to install a decoder to work on DCC?
@ModelTrainsWow Жыл бұрын
Not entirely sure, but I would think it would just work on DCC.
@tpmiranda Жыл бұрын
In DCC it always works at full power, which might make the vacuum cleaner of the Tomix wagon significantly more effective

Hey, do you know where I could get one of these? And, are they on amazon? I ask that because that's where I get my Kato bullet trains. Thanks
@ModelTrainsWow6 жыл бұрын
If you got to the end of the video, you'll see I saw them on Ebay for ~$30-50. That's where I got mine, ordered on Ebay from Japan.

How do you type in the Japanese characters on the translator?
@ModelTrainsWow4 жыл бұрын
@@scotthayes5933 Sorry, just now seeing this. The google translator app allows you to take a picture, and it senses the text from that image to translate.

LoL, it's relatively cheap compared to engines. And the vacuum actually, you know, works.
