I would much rather save up. Even if it took me a year longer to get a better one,I know me and I’m sure I would have regretted this buy very early on. Thanks for the review though. As long as you have put the good and bad points down as accurate as your able then it’s left for others to make their own mind up. And you can only use your personal experience as a guide rather than listening to other reviews first and getting tainted.

David Carroll Doing your own research is key, if I’m looking to buy a new product, I’ll watch as many videos as I can or reviews to make sure what I’m buying is not going to disappoint. You’ll see on a lot of my videos I’ll say “it’ll be ok for kids” or “gearing up will help” “needs oils shocks”. I try and only pick products for review that fit a certain criteria....mostly that it’s fully proportional. Sometimes though a lemon will skip through the net. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Has anyone tried to design and 3D print a better front bumper? So far the bumpers on both are partly broken and a wrap-around might save the frontend in a crash. Also does anyone have a list of which parts are the same as a 9116? [I just rebuilt one of our #9203's and waiting for parts for the other.] Also is there a forum for people with #9203's [ZD-SC8e]? I have found some of the parts on BangGood and more expensively a few more of the parts on AliExpress, but not all yet.

Surely, if the thermal cutout on an ESC keeps stopping the fun, then the ESC is simply inappropriate for this application. Otherwise it does look like a lot of fun for the money with the lusty motor and included batteries - as long as the buyer´s prepared to change the tyres and ESC straight out of the box..

Yes, looks that way. Poor ESC and cheap batteries. It kind of lets the truck down, as it doesn't look to bad. I'll give it a go with better batteries, and then maybe find a different ESC to try.

Mmmmmm honest opinion. £220 isnt really mega cheap. Tyres on cheaper end cars are never much good so that doesnt really bother me but i dont think i like the esc cutting out so much i am more inclined to think its cutting out through heat rather than a little water. It ran good at first. But i did enjoy watching this dude. Your part was top stuff as always bro. Good testing and showing video 👍👍

The Senton 3s BLX is certainly a better truck to get for the money, but I think this will be ok with a few tweaks. The Chassis and metal components are really nice, I think I'll try a better ESC and batteries, and if the Diffs hold up....I'll go 6s, and then we are in Senton 6s territory! Phil: so I saw the issue you were having with the esc and it made me think of the hobby king desert fox. it says you can use 3S in it but not to run it wide open all the time with 3S or it will shut it down. Sooooooo maybe that says you can run 4S but really all you can really run in it is 3S.

I used this ESC in the 'Slash Clone' video on 3s....no issues, and I think it was a more powerful motor. So once I've fixed the suspension on this one, I'll stick a decent 3s and try. But ultimately this needs a better ESC and batteries...which will be added at some point. 🤘

Yes possibly, I think it's an over sensitive overload protection. Maybe bad batteries, or a poor ESC! I think I'm going to order a 6s ESC... 👍
