Hi Tom, great couple of loco’s I’ve got a 105 with speed whiskers no sound a 24 in RTC livery with sound 👍 both good runners as for your remarks on Accurascale I’ve got a Deltic & a 92 runs lovely & 4 37s two went back with running problems in November haven’t herd anything back yet 3rd one’s started playing up last week and the 4th one sand pipes started catching on the rail joints yesterday 😢 and I have another one on pre order 😢 cheers Al

Hi Al I like the rtc liveried class 24, I was tempted by a 105 from Carnforth models that he had with sound 2nd hand but I opted for the newer 101 model, am sorry to hear about your problems with accurascale that's why I was hesitant to buy any, I did have a Dinmore Manor on pre order but carnforth models decided not carry on with the order because he had mixed reviews on them, I think I'll wait for there 2nd run of models before I buy any now as all there model designs are new and hopefully they'll iron out any issues with there re runs, hope you get your 37s sorted as they do look like pretty impressive models

Hi Tom the 101 i got 2 yrs ago runs very well but sadly no sound yet, My class 24 is the Sulzer version that runs just as well, you have some great Loco's Happy new year Alan

Hi Alan the 24s are great locos, I saw today that tmc have reduced them down to 170.00 now sound fitted, am really happy with the 101 and really impressed with the running sounds, thanks for watching. Tom

Hi Tom nice video. Based on this I want to get this sound DMU. I see they have incorporated rail joint noise when moving? Also don’t know if you are aware locos never run with cab lights on when on the move(union rule apparently) mind you your railway your rules ok hope you dont mind me mentioning it ok👍Cheers

Hi Alan, not a problem mate I now about the cab lights I just like having them on 😂 and I suppose there might be some relaxation on the rules on heritage lines, I am really impressed with the 101 and the running sounds love the rail joint noise when running, am sure you'll be very happy with it if you get one

I have just recived my DMU which is driving me nuts with the sound. (factory fitted) When the unit starts away it sounds 2 buzzes which is fine but then on every gear change the buzzer sounds again which is wrong. Also when running and I increase throttle the buzzer sounds again!! Plus a long gap when changing gear nothing like real life. (I used to drive the real ones so do know what I'm talking about). Tried calling Bachmann and they just said the sound guy is off indefinitely. Has anyone else experianced this with the new release of class 101?

I haven't noticed with mine to be honest, I was non the wiser but with you having experienced the real thing it's handy to now, my favourite sound I have to say is the carriage noise as it moves along the track, it might be worth asking someone like Richard at roads and rails if they can do anything with the decoder settings

Your other half should have bought you a new steam engine, not a stinky diesel. She did well with Mr. DMU though, he has a great Driver's Eye View. Yes, stinky diesels are on preserved railways, but they should have been scrapped long ago. Mr. DMU is more worthy of your railway, it's a shame he doesn't run on the main line in real life, like he used to. No disrespect to your railway or to you, but a stinky diesel isn't the way to begin 2024. Lydham Manor should have been given the honor. "Peep!" whistled Lydham Manor, who was green with envy. "Why aren't I running? I'm better than that stinky box on wheels any day."

Don't worry lydham manor and my large prairie had a starring role in my new years eve running session as well as lion, I do like my diesels to so I'll always have a bit of both 😁
