Not these days. These days, being a Christian is SAYING you're a follower of Christ. That seems to be the bar. Taking care of the poor? Nah. Tolerating others? Heck, no. I HAVE to believe that every mild, kind-hearted and honest person, whatever their background or religion, will go to heaven before 99% of Christians in America. It's kind of gross, actually. Yo, Nova and Tom have probably saved more lives this year than the churches.

There is one religion that is organized and the real true church. People seem to forget that God is a God of order and not of chaos. We need to thank Him for putting our heads on our shoulders and our asses behind us about halfway down our spines making life much more easy and pleasant to get around. My eyes, nose and mouth in the middle of my face is right where I need them to be instead of just under my left butt cheek. Organized is awesome as long as you don't have a group of enemies trying to rearrange your body parts from here to there. Now who would that be?

Yep, exactly, I've been Christian all my life, was born into and raised in the faith but i take no word from man. Because as you say, men lie. I only take the word of God. And his activity in my life. My faith is a relationship with God and not church. And once I have that faith, I know exactly who he is. It's a relationship, not a religion.

I sounded similar as a teenager, but prayed to God to show me his true nature, saying that I won’t believe people, just him. He showed me the trinity in a future dream, that involved events that got fullfilled. He also allowed the devil to threaten me and show me an abortion, before I had a plan how they were performed. It‘s best to keep praying and staying open, to whatever God reveals.

Religion is for people so caught up in their system of what they think is right vs what is right. Going to church doesn’t necessarily mean going to a church with four walls. We as Christians are the church. “Where two or more gather, he will show up”. If you don't trust a human being to tell you the truth about Christ, then just pick up a Christian Bible, read it for yourself, hold everything anyone tells you about Christ and Christianity and being a follower of Christ up to the Words Christ spoke himself to you through those who wrote the Bible. Exactly. TRUE CHRISTIANITY is the creators one and only solution to the sin curse were born into because of the disobedience of the first man and women. Religion is the evil one's fake solution to the sin curse were born into because of the disobedience of the first man and woman. 100% correct. I grew up Catholic, went to a Lutheran school, worked at a Presbyterian Church, lived in the largest population of Muslims in the world outside the middle east, my neighbors were holy roller Baptists. I have seen nothing but hypocrisy from any religion.

The scribes and pharisees were religious leaders in Jesus' day, and he had some pretty harsh words for them. His followers were referred to as The Way, and soon after, simply Christians. 💕

Fair enough! I have gone from atheist, to agnostic, to believer. It took seeing, in slow motion, someone or something protect my child. As we sat eating ice cream cones at a roadside stand, a roll-over collision sent car parts flying everywhere. Part of a quarter panel came straight for his head but, before hitting him, it deflected up and to the side, landing on the ground beside him. It was like my son had a force field around him. I'm convinced this was no coincidence. The older I get, the more I understand it and the more important faith and a relationship with the creator becomes. My mother said something similar. I took a fall one time onto asphalt. My mother saw it and she swore that I fell head down almost until I hit and she said my head stopped for a second until the rest of my body caught up to it and then I settled down to the ground. I do not remember the fall and find it difficult to believe my mother but she swears that something broke my fall a couple inches above the ground and then set me down rather than me falling to the ground.

It sounds like you are somewhat of an agnostic, except on the side of belief, same here. I had a near death experience, and it really confirmed my belief that there is a God and something akin to Angels. I talked to someone that explained their NDE to me and it was strikingly similar to mine which helped a lot in coming to terms with the fact that what happened to me wasn’t just a fluke. It feels quite amazing when you have some type of evidence even if it’s not tangible.

No you're right it wouldn't just a fluke. I know you don't know me but if you did you know I speak truth to the best of my ability and I had a drug overdose when I was young dumb and didn't know what I was doing. And it's a night that I've never forgot I was around 18 and I'm 50 now and can remember that night even to this day in great detail. Heaven and hell is very much good God and the devil is very much and I'm glad to hear that you're on The winning side and that you have been chosen. Many are called a few are chosen.

I have never been able to describe my beliefs and just now, Tom did it for me with perfection! I have been a member of several churches and while the people, for the most part, were nice and welcoming I never felt it was where I belonged. I have always believed in a higher power. I have always believed that that higher power was an entity who is compassionate, understanding and has a sense of humor. When people ask if I people in God I just say "I have my beliefs" because my beliefs don't align with 1 particular religion.

No he can’t. Satan is not omniscient, omnipotent or omnipresent. He’s a fallen angel. He isn’t all knowing or all powerful. He needed Gods permission to attack Job and he somehow didn’t know Job wouldn’t curse God. Bible also says the Devil prowls around like a lion seeking whom he may devour which tells us he has to find us and tempt us. If he heard our prayers, he wouldn’t need to seek for us. The Bible is clear that our prayers to him are in secret. With that being said, no angel can hear our prayer.

So I encourage everyone to seek and fellowship with other followers of Jesus in anticipation for when the Bride and Groom shall meet. I believe in God and Jesus what I don't believe in is organized religion and their lies. I did the research and asked way too questions and was labeled a trouble maker because, I am not sheep who blindly obeys . Boy did i shitted on when they couldn't answer when the truth is presented. I was raised religious, and struggle with it currently. But whenever I talk about religion to people, there is one question that comes up a lot. "What if your religion isn't true?" So I say.. "So what if it isn't? Was I cheated somehow? Did it provide good values and principles in my life? I was able to help my community and neighborhood more because of it. So, so what if it isn't true. I'm a better person because of it." I don't care what religion people choose. Just learn to respect others, which includes being honest, and caring for others. As long as it helps you be a better person.. Do it.

I do identify as non-denominational Christian ✝️ for the reason you spoke of 'organized' opposition...after being raised by Catholic nuns who taught God-fearing ways that I could never embrace. There is one religion that is organized and the real true church. People seem to forget that God is a God of order and not of chaos. We need to thank Him for putting our heads on our shoulders and our asses behind us about halfway down our spines making life much more easy and pleasant to get around. My eyes, nose and mouth in the middle of my face is right where I need them to be instead of just under my left butt cheek. Organized is awesome as long as you don't have a group of enemies trying to rearrange your body parts from here to there. Now who could that be?

You pray in private. 1st step; When praying thank him for all of creation.Exalt The Father The Son And The Holy Spirit.(give him praise!)Ask Forgiveness Of Sins And Mean It. (Father knows your deepest thought's and heart) Ask Him To Come In To Your Life. 2nd step; Get Baptised Fully Immersed In Water. After doing so you should have visions and or dreams. Be patient. Sir, You are a Christian. Like the brother in the comments said is true. You having a personal relationship with God is the most important thing. Also , Denominations are different from Religion. Religions are Christianity , Buddhism, Islam, Wiccan, Etc. Denominations are Catholic, Baptist, Pentecostal etc. I'm Non Denomination since I hate organized Denominations since they have been fighting each other . It's ridiculous. Their are Christians in every denomination but their are also those that believe they are saved just by going to church. When Last time I read the Bible I realized the Church isn't a building .
