Yes ma’am! This is so cute! I like the length and color that you chose!! I have been enjoying this style in 2024. I tried the braiding method first like you did here. It was okay, but by far I think the best method is when you crochet the extensions into the ends of your locs. It looks more seamless and lasts longer. I was even able to wash my hair without braiding and banding the extensions with that method. You look great! I’m glad you pressed through. The install is a lot of work

Thank so you much!! I haven’t seen the crochet method executed yet. Do you have any tips on how to get it seamless? I wasn’t sure how I was going to wash it completely forgot about braiding and banding lol I think I’m going to do that soon 😂

@ hey! Yes, I don’t remember whose tutorial I watched, but it is more seamless when you take a latch hook and pull the extension through the end of each loc repeatedly. There is a KZbinr named Glamourgirl Erica B who has beautiful red locs with extensions. She posted a tutorial where she combines crochet with braiding and a touch of glue. I’m not into glue, but to each his own, lol. I braided and banded when I did the braid technique. I didn’t have to with the crochet technique. I hope this helps. That hair is gorgeous on you!

Cute! It looks like a little ombré effect at the ends too! I will be installing some extensions at the end of my twists (that are for micro twists). Since they aren’t even remotely locs yet I’m a curious about how my hair will loc but I’m sure it’ll be great!
