Just be sure not to use super heavy butters/creams! Im almost a year locd and few months ago I had an issue of build up. It wasn’t too bad cs I caught it but just be light with it!

Yes Ma’am!! I did have a previous set of micro locs in 2020 but was not happy about it. It was too small for my hair texture. Yet didn’t think an in between size would be good until a found your channel and I was sold ❤️🥰 I went from 535 to 306 locs and I’m just in love and obsessed with it!

I am getting ready to start my journey. I had locs a long, long, long time ago. Then there was no information out about care. Now there is so much. However, I like your way, your vibe, and your style. I will do the brick grid because I don't like the regular grid, too much scalp showing. I have thick and thinning hair so I think the brick grid will work for me. This method of moisturizing is right up my alley because I don't like the high maintenance. Thanks a lot!

Yo, I just did this the other night my hair needed some love because the gum be murdering it. I use homemade rosemary water, steamed then put a shower cap on, added olive oil blend I made shower cap back on let my hair air dry & an hr later blow dried my roots (i have dense low porosity hair) 2yrs diy microlocs locs ..BEST DECISION EVER!!!🧚‍♂️🦄🌻🧚🏽‍♀️💜🧚‍♂️🌻🌻🐞

Omg! Happy 1 month! 🙌🏾 I only like to use water in my spray bottle and apply the oil and rose water separately. I think it’s really a preference thing. I’ve known others to mix some products in their spray bottle, so it just depends on you!

i love your locs i’m 16 and i’m gonna microloc in the summer! i have a question… should i start with two strand twist and interlock moving forward , or should i interlock the whole way down? my mom tells me and your hair texture is similar with the way the twist swells up but i haven’t seen any info about which one is best. when unshrinked, my hair naturally goes down to my chest!

Hi Aria, it all depends on your preference. With twists there is a fluffy phase. At times you may also have some twists unraveling a bit. With interlocking you won't get so much of that fluffy phase and you won't have twists becoming undone. The texture of starting with twist will be softer than interlocks. Hope that helps. 🙏👍♥️

I'll be 3 months on my journey March 25th and love it. Still unsure what touse for moisture besides water and then i seal with oil. I feel if I use anything else I'll get build up.
