Hexes, Tommy? Not to carry on every lead, but there's no piece that inspires more confidence than a well-placed hex!

I drove an 8000+ mile road trip, & a 13000+ mile road trip. I love driving the open highways at high speed more than virtually any other activity... but Tommy makes me wish I could ride a bike. I would definitely try to get in shape enough for a bike trip around the U.S. if I could.

I'm going for it next year, going to spend the summer getting longer distances built up and in better shape. Going to ride the Pacific Coast Highway and Rt 66.

The cool thing about us bikers is we say you don’t need fancy gear or anything fancy to start bikepacking or biking people bike across the world on 100 dollar bikes

Yeah, and you can buy a pretty good used bike for 100 bucks if you know what to look for.

I thought the same thing, but then tried it, and I have been using it for 8 months now. Only time it got annoying was during one crack pitch in Yosemite recently. But when I train, boulder, and sport climb it has been fine and the data has been really useful.
