That’s right . Singers had to actually be able to sing, and bands had to be able to play these songs live in concert. Not so produced that it can’t be actually performed .

I read somewhere, that back in the summer of 1969, the band's secretary took a phone call. After she hung up, she told Tommy that some promoters wanted the band to perform at a "paying gig" in upstate New York at a pig or cow farmers farm. Tommy laughed and told her can you imagine that, us on a pig farm. 2 weeks later they learned about Max Yasgurs farm and what just occurred there. "Woodstock" Should've taken that gig.

So sophisticated. Crystal blue…. Thank you for this one Jay! This is a really nice sound sample. Very clear and pretty sounding. You can hear everything! Put this one in your back pocket!! You may want it readily available. You’re a great guy so I’m going to give a little piece of advice. If you find someone you really like, hopefully you’ll remember my suggestion and that you have this in your back pocket. Ya know what this song needs…? Some nice lighting, plus a couple of candles, a gentle summer night’s breeze, two glasses, a bottle of white Zinfandel, and something that smells really nice like something delicious cooking in the background, mixed with a tiny bit of cologne or perfume, and your smile of coarse. PERFECT EVENING, solid. You are so nice. I hope you have, or find happiness. 🥰

This song was released in 1968. I was 13 and was very well aware of what was going on in the world thanks to my mom. She was very politically aware and watched the news and read constantly about what was going on in the country, in particular the Vietnam War. This song was an oasis and talked about peace and good and Brotherhood. At the tender age of 13, I believed in the words of all rock and roll songs that sang about peace and love. The song had a calming effect on me. I listened to this song on a regular basis well into my 30s. I'm of the opinion that if more people would truly listen to the words of old rock and roll, and take them to heart, the world would be a much better place.
