Great song, Tommy, it makes you want to jump up and start dancing, I can imagine the children singing this song and dancing to it on the last day of the summer term and then running out into the playground shouting and screaming with joy and anticipation of what summer has to bring. We should all roll our car windows down and play this full volume as we drive along. Fantastic.

The guitar solo is not Bach, it's Georg Riedel and the song "Idas sommarvisa" aka "Ida's summer song". A song that is always sung by children in Sweden the last day of school before the summer break. And the song "Nu grönskar det" is normally also sung at the same event. This means that all people in Sweden knows these songs very well.

Tommy gave us a wonderful feeling of the swedish midsummer. I really love that Song, because it makes me soooo happy. And yes, Tommy plays a mouthharp. And the flute and the acustic guitar. I don't know how many times i've played this on recorder, accordion and on transverse flute and still i'm not bored of hearing this. And Ida's Sommarvisa in the solo is the same. Ida's song is written by Georg Riedel to the story of Emil i Lönneberga by Astrid Lindgren ( the writer of Pippi Longstockings). You have found the soul of Swedish summer my friend.🥰

One word wrong. 'Ĺid' is an old fashioned word for slope or brink. A feature of nature, just like meadow. Not 'lida' which is suffering Otherwise a good translation. Happy Midsummer.

You don’t even have to know what he’s saying, the words and the music speak for themselves and his voice is superb, Beautiful. Is your fault that I’ve got this beautiful man on my mind all the time,it’s because of what you said about him and I went in and listened to whatever song you suggested and I was hooked, your fault, then I found him singing in Swedish and it blew my mind. Yes, mouth harp is a very old instrument used in much folkmusic. Then the harmonica appeared and sort of made it forgotten. Both small things to carry around in a pocket.

It’s a real vibey song, a summer song, gets you ready for summer after the drabness of winter, I could listen to it again and again and again and then some more, beautiful man, beautiful voice, beautiful song. It makes me go weak at the knees and I hope he has a lot more of this type of song, but please don’t sing it in English leave it in Swedish, it probably sounds much better.
