Standing directly in front of George Foreman for too long isn't a good idea for no one. But Tommy did turn his back to George and skip away a few times, but I don't blame him at all for that. And you're right, he used the ring very well, and boxed a masterpiece. Much love and respect for Tommy. He was great, and very missed by me.👍

To his credit, that was a smart thing to do and it's probably the only reason he won the fight instead of getting knocked out cold. Others tried to stand toe-to-toe with Foreman even in this era and ended up straight on their backs!

Foreman is a really big guy... look at this shoulders , his bone structure is like a tank but he has height and long arms as well.... he never goes down against even pro boxers at there peak!!! i cant believe from 1993-1997 he was fighting agaisnt the worlds best and still extremely competitive

I am by great lengths not a fan of sport fighting (of any variety). However.. I am impressed. I do not know much about the sport, or their ages ect. But, Tommy looks quite a bit younger. And George, older and more out of shape. And yet, George seems calm, collected, and fair about his fighting style. Seemingly very honorable. And just keeps taking the hits, and doesnt stop coming. He seems to be keeping Tommy on the defensive the entire time. Seemingly wearing him out. Even with Tommy taking quite a few shots that I would deem "cheap". And George, not at all appearing to be worried or concerned about him. Impressive, George. Both in toughness, and in honor. Nice.... 😌

This was probably Morrisons best boxing. His trainer said this was the one fight they were able to get him where they wanted him and he stayed there for the fight because he was genuinely afraid of Foreman and knew what he could do. Like Rocky told him fear is your best friend what keeps you sharp.

Yes it would have been fire for about 3 or 4 rounds. Until Tyson ends it with a brutal combination that drops Tommy. He would have to fight him the same way he fought Foreman with keeping distance and being smart when throwing punches.

If both are heavy weight, then in combat sports it doesn't really mean that the heavier you are, the more you can handle, if we are talking about head shots and if you hit a few times well😄 I know sir, I trained muaythai in K1 for 5 years. Foreman just had to have a head made of iron, I appreciate that👍 I just don't understand how it didn't shake him up a little bit, make him stagger a little or something🤷♂️ With a few well-aimed and hard punches, Morrison managed to knock down more than one opponent (in the past). Maybe he didn't have as much power in his punches as he used to... and I also respect that Foreman was one of the best boxers and his head was probably used to everything🤔
