What an nanny that ref was, jeez - couldn't believe when he jumped in out of nowhere for the standing 8 count. This is probably the most epic fight I've seen. Ruddock being very selective with his shots, each blow coming out like a wrecking ball. And what awesome evasiveness by Tommy. Man, I want to see more.

Nanny ref? Wow. Learn boxing and its rules. When my dad referred this fight. My dad wanted to send Ruddock home to his family and children safe! Not in a body bag. Ruddock came off canvas from a one punch devastating knock down. The next knock down was when the ropes prevented Ruddock from going down. That’s in the rule book if ropes prevent a fighter from going down. Lastly Ruddocks head snapping back Dangerous sign! Time to stop fight

I see what you are saying, but right before the stoppage, Ruccock's head whipped back to almost 90 degrees from one of Morrison's punches. Almost every time you see that, they stop the fight. There is a possible neck injury and brain bruising from it hitting the back wall of his skull more violently than from other punches. There was little left but pain and brain damage for Razor. Heavyweight fights are like near death experiences. Seconds can be the difference between temporary and serious permanent injury.

RAZOR RUDDUCK was rusty & fat after a long layoff before fighting MORRISON . & MORRISON was officially tested for STEROID USE, is why he was so strong in the 90's, & punched so hard as well, But the RUDDOCK who fought MIKE TYSON wouldve destroyed any version of MORRISON,

Maybe, and this fight was stopped way too soon. The ref stopped action way too many times. He pissed me off.

@@Dempsey1873 Yeah, but the problem with your statement is that MORRISON was found `100% PROVEN to be using STEROIDS throughout his career. But with guys like RUDDOCK, you can only speculate and make CLAIMS that he was using STEROIDS, simply because it was never any official documented PROOF of it

That stoppage was premature for sure!!! Razor could have continued and was not badly hurt. Same thing happened in the first fight with and Mike Tyson. Nevertheless, they were both good fighters and they both took a lot of power shots from each other without being KO"d!!!

This comment section is fucking stupid. The ref did everything in his power to allow Ruddock to show he could keep going. He was getting beaten to a pulp by Morrison, got a standing 8 count, and then went RIGHT BACK into his guard and his head was getting snapped back. The name of the game is boxing, you have to throw some punches. It wasn't an early stoppage, it was a right one. This fetish of wanting to see boxers go into comas is pathetic.
