Tommy Vercetti In Liberty City (1971) - "The Harwood Butcher"

1971 Tommy joined the Forelli Crime Family, one of the main three Mafia families in Liberty City and the most powerful one at that time. In 1971, Sonny Forelli, set up an ambush for him, under the guise of a hit in Harwood. Tommy survived after killing all the men that were sent to assassinate him, but was arrested and convicted of eleven counts of murder. Tommy was sentenced to death for the murders, but since he kept quiet and turned no evidence on the Forelli Family, Sonny used judicial connections to commute the sentence. Tommy remained in prison for fifteen years, refusing to divulge any Forelli Family secrets to the LCPD. He was nicknamed "the Harwood Butcher" by the press.

To be honest - I know that its semi-official that Tommy is 35 in Vice City. But I always felt like he is older, above 40. Its not even about things that indicate it directly, like "too slow granddad". Its about his overall experience in running businesses, working with mob, and making mobsters fall. Plus it is simply no Way he would make a name for himself at the age of 20, and was such in great shape after being sacked for 15 years

​@@pannomic1818 The universe stuff is actually a good idea. If the 3D and the HD universes were interconnected, then all the map developments wouldn't make sense. The Liberty City in GTA IV is quite different and bigger than the one in GTA III, thanks to the universe separations. Imagine GTA IV in a map as small as GTA III's map, we wouldn't like it, would we? With new technology, Rockstar wanted to develop and that wasn't possible as long as they were obliged to preserve the lore of the old games. So they just created a new universe.

​​@@mrgamingftl6830 I absolutely agree. Having said that, when you look at 3D marketplaces for .obj 3D models of that kind of thing it's very hit or miss. And pricey. Your only other choice would be learning Blender and editing assets extracted from in-game which is easier said than done. Unless you do it as a dedicated hobby or as a professional, it's going to look like shit, or something is going to be a bit wonky when you port it back into the game engine. Of course I would also have mods for animations to be fixed with custom mocaps imported. Like changing the walk animations so 3D era characters don't walk constantly like they shat their pants. Desires spring eternal.

I respect that hard work on it, coding, doing animations, models, dialogues but the most easy part was to replace late 1990's cars with 1970's vanilla-looking cars like Esperanto, Idaho, Stallion, Sabre, Voodoo, Oceanic, etc and you didn't do it :(

A cool idea but slightly held back by some inconsistencies (2003 cars and 1992 tech in 1971 LC) and some of the AI voice lines being subpar. I'm guessing this is a DYOM pack for GTA United or something? There's definitely a fun idea there, to explore Tommy's rise through the ranks of the Forelli mafia, maybe shed light on some of his character motivations.

Good concept but i see some mistakes like the first car from late 90s-early 2000s, it doesn't fit to 1970s, no makes sense. A good option to solve this is look and take inspiration from the cars of Driver parallel lines, a another game that takes places in New York in 1970s.
