His early passing was the reason that Luis de Matos - a good friend of him - started a series of high value DVDs of famous magicians to show their beauty and strength, even if they will be gone someday. A very good example was Rene Lavand.

2:36 haha epic face from the guy right next to Tommy. I gotta say, the audience is great, they are into it, they participate, they have a lot of energy yes, however all of this is 99% because of the great and oustanding Magician that Tommy used to be, what a great performer. Amazing.

No they are like that. About ten years ago I met the black haired lady at a convention and performed a trick for her. I wish I would have filmed it as her reaction was strong as the ones at L&L.

at the beginning. when he's like i don't have much time, yeah we call that a classic force
@CardSharkGermany4 жыл бұрын
@@jamesborrie1718 seriously, what he does there is not a classic force, I cannot explain it any deeper here on KZbin. But if you get this effect (or know his Books of Wonder or Visions of Wonder), you would immediately understand.

what is it then
@CardSharkGermany4 жыл бұрын
@@jamesborrie1718 what exactly don't you understand when I say that I CANNOT explain it any deeper here on KZbin? If you are a magiciain and you are not familiar with Tommy's work, I HIGHLY recommend getting his Books of Wonder or Visions of Wonder. It will teach you a lot more and also this routine.

@ray-tm9nr2 жыл бұрын
A nice touch is where he has the woman to his right examine the first 4 cards. Also the double count of the first set of 4's makes it appear he has shown all the cards. Smooth. But this crowd is a group of fake, professional "over-reactors" which is totally unnecessary for his powerful magic and presentation. No need to amp up the energy for Tommy . . .
@CardSharkGermany2 жыл бұрын
Regarding the overreacting I thought the same. Until I performed for the lady in black without a camera nearby and her reaction was identical. What you see is really herself without exaggeration.
