Vlog 36: Installing a Blue Start Button & Bezel in a BMW M3/M4 (red too, & F10 M5 button fits!)

A quick overview of how to install a BLUE button in your F8X chassis.
Even though the website lists it as an M5 option, this goes to show you that it fits in an M3 as well!

If you have a manual car then you don’t need to remove the steering wheel, airbag or trim. It can all be done while everything is attached to the car. Simply remove the m1/m2 pod with a t20 screwdriver and slide it out. It wiggles right out. Then reverse to put everything back when you’ve replaced the m1/m2 buttons.

Great vid easy to install. After much deliberation I opted for the red starter button. Only because almost every supercar; lambo, mclaren 720s, Ford gt etc etc all have a red starter button so looks nice as a Cautionary hot colour. Blue just reminds me of efficiency and something an EV would have lol. Anyways. Great easy mod 👍

Sounds is much better. Good call. I’ve seen people online just use sticky tape and pull that button straight out. I wonder if that breaks the clips off though.
