Hello! And thank you for the steamy locomotives of today. Quite an amazing conversion/enhance, some beautiful little machines to watch (and wagons, as well), over all - another great video on the Tommys Station. Cheers, Paul, have a fine evening! / Chris PS - Those ”twin” steam locomotives from Mehano are super, it might be the first time I see this model (I could have seen them when browsing for models so many times before and forgot about, so... this is the first time :D )

Hi Chris, your right the 2 Mehano 4-6-2S are identical, they are superb runners but made better with me fitting 5 pole motors in them. Thanks for pointing it out. Cheers, Paul.

Hi Pete, many thanks for watching and the kind comments. I spent many hours trying to get the Hornby Jinty running well (thats the chassis now in my Hybrid Pannier). I almost gave up then found a motor that I adapted to replace the Type 7 origionally in the Jinty. Is your Pannier the Triang/Hornby model with the X04 Motor or the Later Hornby Pannier with the type 7 motor?. I never had any luck trying to get the older XO4 motors to run quietly, its a case of some do and most dont. There is a modern replacement for the XO4 motor that Peters Spares has had specially made it works very well as shown by 00 Bill. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Pete, glad to have been of some help, take a look at 00 Bills channel and look for his video on fitting the new motor to replace the X04 its full of tips. Take a look at the Gear wheel on the Axle and see if it has fine teeth or course as the new motor has a fine tooth Worm gear. If yours is course then you will need to change it for a fine tooth type. Hey Paul, I've only got a few bits and pieces of a collection of die caste at the moment. But I remember having quite a few cannons and tanks when I was a kid. My Nanna indulged my fascination with military toys in those days. I still have a die cast Mark 1 Leopard tank. I like the Panniers, although I only have the Hornby versions. They do run very nicely though, I have never come across the Bachmann versions down here. That's not a bad repainted Triang 0 40, it runs very nicely mate. The chassis on those are virtually indestructible. I don't think I have any Mehano steam locos, that's another make I haven't seen much of down here. I have an American Pennsylvania C Liner with all brass gears and metal trucks made by Mehano, it runs very well considering its age. Steven

Hi Sreven, seeing your army collection was a great reminder of the ones I had as a kid. As you saw I only have one Bedford truck from Britains. As you say the Chassis on my 0-4-0 is almost unbreakable, it was the only one that could be adapted to fit the Triang loco that had the X04 motor. I only have the body of a Mehano C liner I was going to give it a new chassis but didnt bother in the end. I really like the Mehano Steamers they are easy to work on and run very well. I am showing quite a rare Mehano Steamer next Sunday its a cool Loco. The vast majority of Mehano Locos were exported to the US and re-sold under AHM, IHC and numerous other brands. @paulvozman842 When I clean up my layout I will shoot a quick vid of my C Liner. It's virtually silent, considering it has the Mahano motor and brass gears. I recently stripped it right down and gave it a thorough clean. It was running like a pile of puss before I cleaned it up.

Hi Steven, I look forward to seeing your C Liner in action sounds good its a quiet runner. I had a couple of Mehano BR 216 Diesels that had the old open frame motor, they were far to rough and noisy so got converted with modern Can Motors. Cheers, Paul.
