good video, most customers like to feel the wall very smooth but i just polish it a little as the paint wont absorb, also once a roller goes over it its not smooth any more, make sure its flat with no holes

I've only plastered once in my whole life and never heard of that!! I was like what??!! The 5/6 stages (depending on whether you are skimming over render or boards) of plastering, must be done on the same day before the plaster goes rock hard. Having said that, I have never tried polishing it the following day so perhaps it's not for me to say. But you really don't need it that smooth.

Good videos, I assume your adding the plaster to water in the bucket as doing it the other way round it will set too fast? I noticed a professional did it this way when I had some walls done.

I prefer it burnished as long as its flat, you can put a real thin mist coat on it and the finished wall is lovely and flat. I must say though this tutorial is about as much use to a novice as a chocolate trowel.. no mentioning of timings, and how the plaster should look and feel to the touch before the subsequent coat goes on, or the next wet troweling should be done, and what happens if you go on too soon or too late, ripping etc. If you aint going to tell us the secrets, dont call it TTS!

er yeah not a bad job i suppose but why is he trowelling it up when its that hard no need for that at all, i usually finish off with a dry trowell just to get the odd watermark out but not when its that set, the wall should be well finished by that stage its already drying out

i would get my balls booted for doing this, any plasterer can hear that stuff has set. if all the small holes and marks are filled, fair enough but polishing a wall when it's past setting is just an armbreaker. coat in a good thickness, flaten. one wet rub and a polish (two wet trowels) finished. decent 2" brush and a 4" paintbrush from b&q a spraybottle will murder a diyer.
