He is a genuinely brilliant and lovely person. I remember when he was lecturing in NUIG he was always inclusive. We from Science used to sneak into his lectures because he was so informative and entertaining. He always knew and welcomed us in. He hasn't changed.

Of course you've business saying that. Personally I'm happy with him as our president and I've always liked his personality. However he has annoyed me at times throughout his term in office. I would be critical of him being too outspoken about some current affairs issues as his office is supposed to be above politics, and I was also disgusted with him when he gave a glowing tribute to Castro when he died.
