Appreciate how Zack has stayed in touch with you Tomo, as his teacher. Shows a great deal of respect. Futuristically, I'd be interested in hearing you two talk about best ways to continue advancing in guitar skills i.e., starting as a beginner, how to move from beginner to intermediate etc. Thank you for letting us listen in to your thinking today !😊

Oh! I watched the whole intro and LOVED it, then discovered I'd accidently been watching at 65% speed (I slow audiobooks and podcasts down to help me sleep). I almost don't want to listen at normal speed now. I will be slowing guitar jams right down from now on.

The hardest question to ask is of a subject you never knew existed. Starting Guitar just because one always just wanted to is very difficult because the knowledge is insufficient to ask a qualified question. Then get inundated by so much info and not knowing what is a good path. Similar to asking a 10year old what they want to do when they grow up. Great discussion. ~❤🕯

It's quite bizarre to see multiple guitars of the same model in the same color at once, and it happens to be the same as the one I play the most! I recently do a bit of online jamming (using a program called Jamulus) and I uses this AZ the most as it's very versatile and it's really easy to play. It looks good on camera too!

I'm very happy with my only guitar, I have owned for 20 years. Once I borrowed money to buy an American strat, but I had some financial issues so I had to sell. Recently I have wanted another guitar, but this time I will save up the money. Inflation sucks though haha... you work full time and all the money goes on food etc.. then guitars go up in price as quickly as you save lol.. But it's ok! I live in the moment as you say. Thanks guys.

There are so many guitar instructors on social media and quite a lot of them are very good. The experience seems empty. I think a lot of people, however, are missing real interaction with people in the same physical space. I would give up a thousand stunt guitarists playing in their bedroom for a single, daring soul willing to risk it all on stage. Social media isn’t really making musicians because music is a social art.

First, great playing, both sound wonderful. Secondly, with the main topic, is difficult for me to add something meaningful to the conversation as I do not consider myself a musician, as I only play as a hobby and I do not have a buddy to play with, but it is truly overwhelming to have access to a a lot of music and guitar information that you don't know what to learn, what to do, and more as a beginner, it can make the learning process too stressful. And with the guitar collection, it is cool and fun to have multiple instruments to select with, but truly we only need one single guitar if our only goal is to actually make music. Greetings to both.

Hi Tomo ! I used to learn from your guitar wisdom course and I have question regarding one of the lessons. In your G mixolydian video, you talk about playing G13 and C9 as backing chords over G mixo and C mixo scales. Why did you choose those specific chords ? and how can a player determine what all chord voicings can be combined with particular scales or modes ?? This one question has troubled my all my playing life. I'd be really grateful if you explain this topic in detail. Thank you !!

Hi Tomo, I am a Guitar Wisdom student. I have learned a lot since joining a few months ago. It feels like very deep learning. At 56 I've been playing the acoustic, on and off, for about 5 or 6 years. I am a good novice player. My biggest challenge with the guitar is that I find it very physically demanding. Practising often results is a sore back or very tight shoulders. I've tried different postures, some work better than others. Now I am using a foot stool which has helped. Even so I find sometimes I don't want to practice because the physical toll is too big. Also if I practice before bedtime I find it harder to get to sleep. Any advice on these matters would be appreciated. Thanks
