If you’re curious about Tomoe’s usefulness as a crit servant, I guess she’s okay. That said, crit and Arts AoE isn’t the greatest combination (not to mention needing to play around her stun). As a matter of preference, I’d rather use someone like Saber Hokusai with the future Lady Avalon if I need to leverage an arts servant and give them crit potential.

She came in super handy on the 90+ ninety plus node in summer5 specifically because of her aoe + crit combo. She hasn't been very useful otherwise but I got some interesting mileage out of her.

As somebody who didn't realize they were looping wrong until now, I can say that Summer Tomoe will get the job done (I used the Magical Girl Sapphire/Append 2 Level 1 setup in case you're curious). That said, the moment that there is an exceptionally tough critter in wave two or three, I found myself having to switch to my NP5 Berserker Musashi instead. Without Magical Girl Sapphire and the append, and without some charge in reserve, Summer Tomoe would indeed have very serious trouble trying to loop.

If you wait longer, you get Charlesmagne who is just Okita Alter Summer but with a gimmicky Invul(wish they make it more viable) and Ibuki Summer who is straight up the best AOE Art looper. As for the crit Saber role, Lancelot has already outperformed her.

Tomoe's crit damage buff is double that of Lancelot (100% vs 50%) but Saberlot does not have her limitations and has more tools like a battery and a pretty solid ST NP.

​@@rebelblade7159 When people talk about a "crit DPS", they don't judge things based solely on the biggest crit numbers, but how effective they are at using those crits to inflict major damage. Lancelot does have a lower crit damage number, but his star absorption buff is Eternal Arms Mastery, making his absorb get into the thousands entirely eliminating the chances of stars going to anyone else, while also having a duration of 3 turns on a 5 turn CD. Tomoe for comparison has absorb around 500 for 1/4 turns, meaning she can't always take full advantage of the stars she generates or her crit buff, in addition to still fighting for stars with other crit classes like Riders and Foreigners. His NP being single target is also a nice boost in terms of being a single target DPS, but that's just a bonus on top of already being a strong and reliable arts crit DPS.

You just roast Tomoe Simpers out there man! I mean I also simp Tomoe too but gameplay is gameplay. She may have a cool characteristic/ personality and makes everyone wants to NTR Yoshinaka but in a game with 80% content is looping, she does not do her job well. But if you guys simp Tomoe that much, you can put quartz in and try to np5 her for big damage let her go to lv 120, and open her 3 appends (although that requires np10 bond 15 tomoe). Also tries to roll powerful art supports like Castoria and magical girl of Sapphire or something like that to make Tomoe loop better. If you guys really like her so put in extra investment to make her loopable. I know a girl whose husbando is Nobu Avenger and spends her money trying to np6 Nobu to lv 120 and open 3 append skills. Her Nobu farms really well in 90++ JP I tell you. That is true love. However for a f2p guy like me. I don't have enough love and resource to go for Tomoe even though I like her. So I still stick with the meta which requires fewer resources.

I have her at np6 : /. For the brief period between her and Muramasa's release, I used her extensively in a crit farming setup with Lancelot on weird distribution nodes, since the aoe arts crit saber archetype is surprisingly rare. She still comes out once in a while when I need to lower party cost, but that was her one niche, and she lost it nearly immediately.

Oh God Let me have some of whatever copium that they have. As a Summer Tomoe haver (and I do use her from time to time) she's OK, not bad, but ok. I only use her for events where she has a bonus (meaning mostly summer events). She needs so many babysitting. I have to use other NP CE's and Mystic codes to give her the extra boost. My daily runs is just equipt everyone with a bond CE during dead weeks.

You know something is off when a limited 4-Star is arguably comparable to that of a free 1-Star. And, at least in my case, I've gotten Jason to be at a competent position on that front, even if it takes some fenagling. Even if I already have her, I'm probably not gonna go for extra NP copies any time soon. I've already got another dubious Arts Looper I've got my eyes set on, purely for character appeal, mind you.

Honestly i find Tomoe to be actually quite good at 90+ nodes where the lack of looping doesn't matter and with a two attacker setup she can use the NP to clear the 2 enemy wave (usually wave 1) and the crits to clear a 1 enemy wave.

As someone who has experience using NP5 lvl 100 Summer Tomoe, the 1 turn duration on her 2nd ability arts buff really hurts her potential much more than the stun. Even during the summer event where she has 50% extra damage, my lvl 80 NP5 Salieri outshines her in farming. And that's often by a noticeable margin simply because of his 3 times 3 turn 30% arts buff on his 2nd ability along with better NP gains and Avenger benefits. Both have the same hit count and damage percentage for their NP's. In both cases, I ran dual Castoria with the AoE servant having the Event damage CE and sometimes brought in Paracelcus with plugsuit like when fighting Zerks. Dump all buffs and NP charge turn 1 and press NP button thrice is what I'm going for. I don't have other high rarity universal arts farmers like Summer Musashi or Space Ishtar so I have been relying on Salieri and he's been performing that role admirably. And its super easy to NP5 him as he shows up in extra class banners as the ONLY 3 star servant. Best part? You can level only his 2 if you just want to use him for farming. He does have a crit buff (100%) with star gather due for NA when his interlude comes so even better. I think Saleri is really slept on despite how good he can be along with the low rarity advantages. Tomoe can't loop Zerks while Salieri has no problem even though he doesn't have the 50% extra damage that Summer Tomoe has for this event. Only niche I found where Summer Tomoe does well is Grail Front. Her self sufficient crit setup due to having a massive crit damage buff as well as stars bomb with 3 turn stargen helps her in quickly bursting down enemies while you can use her arts buff and arts crit to charge her NP quickly (often a single arts crit with her 2 active does the trick and even goes overcharge). Came in handy in situations where I maneuvered her to take out two opponents at once, which is where she outshines Lancelot saber due to having an AOE NP. Her 2 being buffed to last 3 turns or 3 times for 3 turns could make a huge difference both in and outside farming scenarios.

Man they really did this rerun banner dirty just shoving Fujino into it then to spite both Abigail and Tomoe gave Fujino a rank up when both of them really could use one. At least they upped the quality of the Summer Six set. I said it last year it's a shame with how good the designs of Summer Five were and they didn't have the power to go along with them.

I think it's a shame too as any combo of giving her an NP Gain or Battery buff, making her Mana Burst longer (or the Artoria Lancer of 3 hits/3 Turns), or letting her snowball her NP buffs would make her a decent farmer. For now, I mostly use her as a Brawler or a unusual set up farmer for those pesky non-3/3/3 nodes when her crits come in handy.

After using alot of SQ back in new year for Muramasa and failing, I've instead went with Saber Tomoe for attempted looping on my Alt, needless to say I shortly swapped back to Summer Musashi, I recently ended up with her on my Main but I also got Muramasa, thanks for the analysis was wondering if I missed something in regards to Saber Tomoe, unfortunately it seems I was not.

Yeah even as a simp with double 120 tomoes i cant pretend she's not got general use case problems. The dedicated dumping grails on her can bandaid some problems and get by, but if its a matter of comparison, its not good. I will say, she actually is pretty decent in non-optimized setups, dual attacker, or low resource accounts, since her skills let her facecards do some decent work. In short, the cope is real, but the doomsaying might be a little overstated, too.

While I’m not someone coping, for anyone new to FGO (I’d be surprised but who knows [also if you are new, I’m not explaining any of these terms I’m using]), different card types have different farming standards. Fino mentions it a bit, quick needs kscope for the most part. Buster prefers a certain plugsuited support, and quick on jp has grown to a triple Skadi system. Mind you, Fino is right because Tomoe is an arts servant which that doesn’t fly (if you have double Castoria and not friend Castoria only then having a plug support is expected).

Tbf, S!Tomoe does loop Lancers with Double Castoria+fragments+ MLB'D Snake (40% arts buff for 3 turns) (and I've seen some claims about the MLB CE from Enmatei, but haven't tested this one myself as I don't have it). That being said, at Tomoe having a total 120% arts buff before the MLB Snek, the 1250 bonus damage from scope (and potentially plus other shit from a 50% charge CE+X setup) might just beat the effective damage increase from the Snake Arts buff depending on investment on the servant.

As someone who has the unfortunate luck of getting her in JP to NP3... I must say... she sucks as a looper. It tells you something when my main "looper" (or reloader because of Buster memes) in JP among Sabers is Mordred, which... let me tell you I hate as a character. In NA I happily skipped her because the main prize was NP3 Murasaki (and I avoided Summer Abby). Why would I need one of the most mediocre loopers in the game when I have Artoria ready to do Buster memes with Koyan? It's a shame Tomoe is crappy from a gameplay standpoint because that design is beautiful. My Summer Tomoe won't see any use until she gets a buff that addresses her crappy NP refund.

Well the thing is their card type, arts servants get more npa and have castoia that gives even more np gen, while quick only have skadi, arts servants are somwhat expwcted to be able to properly loop with just castoria, while quick servants can be hard to have them loop but it's still good because they can loop even if it's hard for them
