The guy always pushes for the attack, and blocks really well when it comes back... You can say what you want with the scream, but if you play Harimoto, you have to be ready for a violent fight. The scream is part of that, and although it gives energy away, it also has a psychological impact on the opponent. There is fair play, but... it is war. Old game but... 3-0 to Ma Long. Can you do that even with an injured Ma Long? Come on. What a beast.

I enjoy listening him screaming and it fits him because I feel like he's willing to die there for the win for which I have huge respect. I'm driving him right now at the tournament and the guy is so nice and he is very polite person like every other Japannese player.

Harimoto is one of the best in the world and he is also the male counterpart of Bernadeth when it comes to shouting! Its so irritating imagine yourself playing against a guy who shout his heart out every single time he scores a point. I really dont know how that guy can shout his guts out almost at the point of breaking his vocal cords. For me its unethical for player of his caliber. Maybe he can do that once in a while but everytime, thats to much. Id like to see him play in a quiet mood and lets see if he can sustain his skills. This i got to see.

The screaming is off-putting. In tennis they grunt a lot because it is a heaving game and they cannot control it. What I hate is, in tennis, some top player keep asking for towel after each rally. But this screaming is deliberate and can be controlled. They should ban anything that is annoying to other players and the spectators.
@Floatflyer13 жыл бұрын
I disagree with your comment on tennis screaming. It started with Monica Seles and to some degree Jimmy Connors. MANY great players before and after managed to play superb tennis, QUIETLY! Pay attention to how many times they go quiet at different times in match, OR watch them in practice. Ban it, please!
@ljupconewman93573 жыл бұрын
@@Floatflyer1 how about we put a sock in them while we're at it? That's a ridiculous thing to ask a ban for. The player is playing not you. If you don't like it don't watch.

I hate the attitude of Harimoto who cheers at every point (including the mistakes of the opponents). In my opinion it is a very unsportsmanlike behavior and unfortunately this way of doing is also followed by the kids I see at tournaments...
@mandeepbharj88733 жыл бұрын
He’s not screaming to put down the other player, he is shouting to motivate himself. It’s also a mental aspect of the game to get in the opponent’s head. As someone who does this, I can confirm it is a useful way to best people that are even better than you in tournaments and such. Although, I agree he shouldn’t shoot when the opponent makes a mistake.

Everybody scream, not just Harimoto. He just happen to have a loud and somewhat annoying scream toward the VIEWERS. Other players have no problem with it, since screaming in table tennis is so common, every pro player have to be mentally adapt to it.
