The two cops in this movie are a laugh riot. Making with the cop lingo and slang phrases that for these society elites is an alien language. Chester Morris is fiercely insistant as well as conveying a gentlemanly, intelligent reserve.

Good movie. Morris would go onto play Boston Blackie. McHugh & Jenkins would become regulars at Warner Bros.

I love Chester Morris. He has such a wonderful voice... I think Morris, William Powell, and other fast talking actors changed the look of pre-code movies which are sometimes too slow because the actors speak slowly....

Love Chester Morris! And the “father/daughter” are great. Everything that’s NK was great until the slapstick guys came almost no. I as all settled in for a good mystery & I guess ya gotta be in the mood to mix corny comedy in with that head? I’ll try it again maybe next week! TYTYTY for making this available!🙏✝️✡️💜🙋♀️

Chester, the square jaw guy - Dick Tracy must've been drawn with him in mind!

The scenery alone makes this a good movie. **I can't stand the world of 2017, and I'm thinking of getting a Return Ticket to a better time.

Some B movies could be quite entertaining. This is one of them-- good pace and a decent story that keeps you baffled even if you figure out who the killer is.
