I heard this song playing on my 8 year old daughters laptop and it brought tears to my eye's, I was about her age when this song came out in 1989,and it took me back to my childhood, i have learned great music lives forever and is just passed down from generation to the next.I pray that she and all the young people will live with the message of love and hope in their heart as this beautiful song tells....

Everytime I hear this song i think about being in the 4th grade when we had to learn it for awards day. Now at 30 I see the importance of teaching our children to go down the right paths. Alot of times adults fail at being mentors or good influences on our youth. Then we wonder why they end up on the wrong path.

Tevin, Im so sorry what the industry has done to you and what you have been exposed to. Your innocence was stolen. I pray you look at this video and remember how you were and the most precious gift that God has given to you, your voice. It inspired so many children and teens.

me too...this brings tears to my eyes...such a beautiful song. This might sound hokey coming from a white gal like me, but when I hear such voices there's no denying that 'black folk' (esp African Americans) are a very special people with an enduring spirit despite all their hardships.

This song still touches my heart to this day. I am so angry that Tevin destroyed his own career. He couldve went far with his career but like most teens he took fame for granted and just screwed up his chances of being a big star.

This joint is a classic, he sounds like a young MJ. So sad he fell into that trap that some child stars fall into, because he has a rare voice. And he worked with the greats such as Quincy Jones & Prince. Side note, is that Jamie Foxxworth from Family Matters as one of the choir? LOL, looks just like her
