Let me tell you something. I don't like the idea that in order to succeed and do great work you need great equipment. Unfortunately for me, i've never had a lot of money so I've been stuck using a Canon T2i for pretty much the last decade. I'd like to say i'm a master and wizard with it and have been impressed with what I've been able to do with it. Ultimately I think it comes down to the lens. With great lenses the sky is the limit. No really, you'll need a drone to get the sky.

What's the difference between other filmmakers course compared to yours? Absolutely, not trying to be rude or disrespectful but what does religion have to do with learning filmmaking? A " Christian" filmmaker is a normal filmmaker like every one else. I don't understand the difference?
@TomorrowsFilmmakers4 жыл бұрын
Hey George! Great question and probably the question we get the most. :) So a Christian Filmmaker is exactly the same as any other filmmaker when it comes to skills, ability, and the technical side of filmmaking, but they have a different goal in mind for their careers and that is to create God honoring films and businesses. So yes, inside our course we teach you everything you would need to know about filmmaking and creating amazing content, but we teach it all with the mindset of using those skills to further the Kingdom of God. So by having a "Christian Film Academy" does not in any way mean that the quality of teaching is any less, just that we teach it with a different mindset. Hope that helps. :)

Obviously rich. Guess that’s why his dad said we’re only going to pay for ‘half’ of your $400 dollar Christmas present (his 1st camera). And he borrowed from his grandparents - not his parents - and paid them back. The “ranch” is only 45 acres and is a horse therapy ranch. In an article his mother says “despite my name, I don’t come from money.” so she not be one of “those” Vanderbilts.

The great thing about social media is I can be as sarcastic as I want which is exactly what happened. I have an ingrained jealousy of wealthy entrepreneurs because I do not have a family and the hardships were unsurmountable. My bad...my attitude was shaped by environment, not an actual dislike for the guy. You win.

I believe non-Christians filmmakers are people who dont make well Christian films and Christian filmmakers do make Christian films i gues it all depends on the type of film you make that what i think

This is like the 40th person I’ve encountered that was a believer in God and their business was soaring. God + goals = major success.

Great vid! I learned a lot and I'm grateful I got to hear some business advice from a fellow Christian's perspective. Subbed and liked. God bless you guys! Here are some of my notes! Step 1: Trust God Ask God for your calling and take steps of faith! (Proverbs 3:5-6) Step 2: Invest in Yourself/Brand Whatever money you make just reinvest it into yourself. For example: Emmaus started out with an old cam and slowly upgraded to a high end canon film camera and more gear. Step 3: Practice Practice Practice Know your gear, what kind of tools you need and how to use them. Having expensive gear doesn't mean you produce better results. It'll probably look nice, but without skill it won't equate to much. Having skill is what will really complement gear. Step 4: Network Emmaus cold emailed known videographers and out of 30 one got back to him. He got his foot in the door and later on that same person recommended him and he shot on of the most expensive weddings Having a mentor is vital because they guide you in the way they are supposed to go. Step 5: Strong Social Media Presence Emmaus recommends having a strong website in addition to using Facebook, Instagram and KZbin Post high quality content consistently. Step 6: Never Stop Learning Try something new; even if you're not good at it. Learning keeps your mind sharp. Whatever it may be: learning a second language, lighting techniques, learning how to play an instrument. Always be willing to learn something new especially if you're not good at it!
