From one of the best albums ever in rock. Every song a gem. Tom didnt just write songs. He wrote anthems. He captured life in music and lyrics. His work rises above mere entertainment and its become art. Proud to have lived in his hometown for a spell back in the late 80's in Gainesville Fl.

I needed some Tom Petty today. Music is my therapy. 💚 I have so many different memories associated w Tom Petty’s music. Mostly happy but my mom’s birthday is coming up & she was a Petty fan as well. Feeling a little sad. I still have urges to pick up the phone to call her. 😔 Music has always been in our home. Love & miss you mom & Tom. Forever in my heart. 💔 🦋 🌻

@Inster_ber_ I thought that was Johnny Depp. I'm curious how you found out. There's another video out in the early 90s by The Lemonheads called It's A Shame About Ray that features a young Johnny Depp or at least a close lookalike.

The last shot in this is absolutely brilliant. He's meeting himself in his past and his future. I never got that before that he was coming full circle into his authentic self instead of pursuing who other people wanted him to be.

Back in the summer of 2014, I had this really bad volunteer job at an airport museum. The boss was an asshole, but I remember this song getting me through the hours of doing all the mundane tasks he had for me to do; really, Tom Petty helped me get through a really infuriating time in my life, and I thank him for that.

What a fantastic video. I have to admit I've been watching Jonny Depp since 21 Jump and always preferred him to Booker. I was born in '74 so I remember this video well. Along with Petty's Alice in Wonderland and the Cradle of Love are some of the memorable videos from my youth. Tom died here in LA not that long ago and wish I would have seen him live but one of his last concerts in LA he only performed something like 30-40 minutes and fans were disappointed. I don't know why I didn't see him considering the thousands of shows I've attended. What a loss.
