OMG. I must be watching too much C-SPAN coverage of the Republican debates. Trumpisms have crept into my everyday language.

I really appreciate your teaching of this age of American history; as an ex-pat American, and an historian , I find it's not as easy to absorb for young folks as it was when I still had grandparents who had heard the old stories and great-grandparents who had lived through "the Second American Revolution" and who could still recite chapter and verse why the Federal system was on its way to destroying the country! One thing I don't understand, still: did Tom Jefferson really believe in States Rights or the Constitution? Aside from his wishywashyness about it, he often said that (and I paraphrase) the nation's government needed to be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants often AND referred to his belief that each generation should/must refashion the government into that generation's own image and beliefs. So between that, a primitive "permanent revolution" scheme, as well as his other vacillations, how can anyone really know what TJ truly believed, and /or depend on it?

I really enjoy your lectures. Did you train as a revivalist pastor before following a history vocation?
@tomrichey8 жыл бұрын
Haha I saw my share of revival preaching growing up but never formally trained in the art. I did a good bit of debating in high school and college, though.

I find mostly no fault in what this gentleman is teaching. He's absolutely right.The only thing that hes not teaching is the difference between the 2 memberships. Britain is a corporation like Costco. The 14th amendment membership means that they get to govern those people. Where are founders are 4 fathers Washington Adams? They weren't part of the british membership and they were trying to help the people that didn't want to be a membercorporation. This is where people have to be able to understand what's going on. It's no different than the elks club Walmart Costco. You either contract and there's many different ways to contract in this US club. But you must always declare you're not a member. Cops have no authority over you unless you're a member. They're only there to govern the members of that club Britain does not own America. It's an organization that people join
