Urnex is what Starbucks uses, it is a fantastic descaler.

Use a filter and you won't end up with all the scale in your pot. I use a new filter for every rinse cycle as well so like 3-4 cheap filters used, but you will see all the scale coming off. I used KEURIG descaler once and oxo descaler 5-6 time and since I went to urnex and have not used another brand on any of my coffee or espresso machines since.
