1965 MUSTANG ONTO HONDA CIVIC CHASSIS SWAP!! "MASUTANGU" PT.1

A purist's kryptonite.
We're taking my 1500lb, 400ish horsepower 1996 Honda Civic go-kart with a turbo B-series and dropping a ratty 1965 Mustang body onto it. This will be the first V-tec, front wheel drive classic Mustang in existence.

Cool save!..but what are you going to do about the 5 inch wheelbase difference between the two cars? I did something similar to a 68 Mustang coupe by putting it on a 2000 Explorer chassis but I just could not bring myself to hacking the Mustangs proportions. I shortened the Explorer chassis 5.9 inches It both caused and saved some fab issues,, and was worth it. .

I did something similar, it depends on the state you live in but here in Michigan it is titled as a "built" vehicle, and you make a choice as to which obe you call it. I titled my built vehicle as the Mustang.

@@paulegan1296 I always thought it went by the frame it sat on is what it is registered as. In this case its technically a Honda Civic. I just looked it up and you were absolutely right. There seems to be a good bit of steps to get a "home made" car registered and titled.
