Dear Tom. Today i have upgraded my Phantom 3 to the new version 1.2.6 firmware. I have seen many tutorials about how to do this. For the Phantom it was no problem but the RC failed en failed and failed trying to get the uodate. (I used the sd card supplied with the Phantom). In your tutorial i saw that you where using a clean usb stick.I have done the same and voila it works. Hopefuly helps it other people with the same problem. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Hey Tom, Joe here. If you will, could you give me an idea about why my P3A controller wont recognize the camera after a recently purchased and downloaded firmware download? Im using an I Pad air 2 64 GB with AT&T. Phantom is good to go but, the Go app doesn't recognize the camera.

Very helpful video. However, when I tried to update my RC, I did as instructed: copy the .bin file to USB stick, then plug it in the RC, turn on RC... But no blue light ever showed up. Just 1 red light and 4 white light next to it, then followed by long beep sounds. Do you know what does it mean? Thanks

On 8/7/15 I was unsuccessful with my update v1.3.2.0... the quadcopter gimbal and battery display success in text but the controller displays abort... I tried turning on the quadcopter and remote after the update and the transmitter connection displays poor connection and advises not to fly at great stance... have you had success with this new firmware upgrade?

Hi Tom, Great video. DJi claims you do not have to update each individual battery. When I inserted another battery there was no attempt from the P3 for an update.

I seem to be having issues updating firmware on my controller the copter worked just fine . I have tried sd card method and usb drive neither of them when plugged into controller lights up blue.

Hi thanks for this video I tried same method, I ist updated the firmware of drone and after that using a USB I tired updating my remote control drone upgraded to 1.6 but my remote control didn't upgrade from 1.57 to 1.6 both were fully charged as well so what to do here? I even tried connecting my remote with my phantom using the USB cable came with it.

My text document after updating has 3 dates, none of them matching the current time, and two say success, and one days abort. The top one says success, middle says abort, and bottom says success. I'm not exactly sure which one is the correct one for right now but I'm going to assume its either the top or bottom because it can't be the middle one and it have listed it on there as in between the two other updates. This is my first time ever updating by the way so I'm a little confused lol

I have been trying to set the MC on my iPhone to max distance and it won't stay at what I set it at. Overtime I set it, I then X top right corner. Then go back to check it and it's set back at the default of 30M. Very frustrating. Can you please tell me how to properly set this? I must be doing something wrong but I cannot figure out what it is. Thank you,

Mine did a fail scream with a red light, so I turned it off, deleted the file and reput it back in. then it did the loudest annoying beeping DD-DD-DD-DD for about 7 minutes before tada green!! if it fails just try it again until it works and be patient!

I just purchased a phantom 3 advanced I updated the firmware on quad to 1.6.4 0.... When I try to update the controller it does nothing and when I go into the app it says firmware is 1. 5. 70does anyone know of this is right? Any help would be appreciated

I just updated my P3P firmware to Phantom 3 Professional Firmware v1.9.60 2016-06-13 P3X_FW_V01.09.0060.bin and now this is the reading I'm getting from the text file. I have only done one FW update with this P3P since I've had it for the last 4 months. Did it auto do it somehow when I agreed to the DJI app the other day? Also not getting any blue light on the controller when I put the copied info from drone on the SD card. Started up drone and DJIGo app and it says Firmware is of the latest version ware as before I agreed to the long list of demands it was saying need to update. Not sure what has happen but I guess I'll find out when I fly it if all is well. Let me know what you think! Thanks! After updating to firmware 1.2.6, did you notice any drifting issues with your phantom? What I mean by drifting is the phantom sinking down, or sliding to the side and not maintaining a GPS hold like it did before doing the update. My phantom continues to slowly sink lower and I have to give it throttle to maintain altitude. What is the fix for this problem? Any help on the matter would be very appreciated Tom.

Plugging in a USB stick did not work for me per his video. I did plug my phone into the controller and it allowed me to download the firmware upgrade from there. It was easy so you might try that.

korling99 After the update of the phantom and rc, leave the .bin-file on the micro sd and insert it into the gimbal again, put the new battery in and start the phantom. again, the updating procedure starts. After about ten minutes it will be done. Now you can remove the micro sd card and check the text file on the computer to make sure the update was successful. I hope that was helpful! Fly safe!

Why me lord? I always seem to buy the product that's a little different. I have the Phantom 3 4K and of course there is no firmware selection on the DJI site for my aircraft and there is no USB port on the remote only a micro-USB so I am assuming that you have to use the Go app to do this firmware update? Right now my Go app is telling me that I need to update my firmware then I run into all this crap that's different from the rest of the product line. Never fails!OH YEAH! And not one single video on youtube explaining any of this. lol

Pfff yet another demonstration that forgot the most important thing: after the firmware update start an IMU calibrate and then a gimbal calibration via the DJI Pilot app otherwise is goes wrong !!!
