Great video too by the way, helped me out allot as the formulas I was using had 300 and i couldn't understand why my answers where always different when i compared with other people online. The 318.3 was the key. Thanks!

How do you determine the table speed? Depends on material? Depth of cut?
@akronnekron2337 жыл бұрын
For cnc milling machine I use same formula, but in more simple way. Depends on the tool you are using and on what material you are gonna machine there is m/min number in the catalog. Here you have 155 m/min and I just add the zero's at the end so it becomes 155 000 divided by Pi divided by 10 and you can easy calculate that with machine, phone or computer calculator.

What about when you are gang milling with for example ( 1 x 65mm HSS Slab 12 teeth cutter and 2 x 160mm Side and Face 20 teeth cutters?)

Ok so i understand all this. i have a feed rate but what tells me how deep of a cut can i make? or how much bite to give the endmill. i want to calculate feed rate RPM aswell as my axial and radial depth of cut. how do i incorporate all these together. pleaaaasee help!

Mr Stikkelman Thank you for your clear explanations on G programing. Could you explain us how to program a NPT thread in a milling machine by interpolation? I did oone time ago in it was a lot of calculations for a 1 inch NPT

The last week I had the problem to make a part bigger than the chuck, later I ralized I nedded to make jaws but I have never made any soft jaw. My only choice is to try it, but before that I would like to view examples, do you have an example picture for gripping parts bigger than the chuck? should I consider any special consideration for calculating speeds?

have a couple questions. I'm new programming lathes. HOW DO YOU CALCULATHE FEED PER REVOLUTION IN INCHES, AND WHAT IS TABLE FEED.? THANKS IN ADVANCE

thaks for sharing :) your videos are great. I have to calculate the speed for the cnc lathe, Constant surface speed and feed per revolution, but I didn't find any material (common used) speed charts for carbide inserts. I also found that too many variables affect such as the depth of cut, boring bar diameter, the type of operation, threading, grooving, parting, internal turning, how can I consider al these factors and find the best speeds?, is there any paper that I most read?

sir when we r cutting a end face on turning . then haw ill we find out max rpm g50 . and if we want to do cutting in g97 so haw ill we find out rpm values for g97.

Hello Sir, Thanks a lot for sharing. I had a small doubt ... in the above tutorial to how much step over and depth of cut we are calculating feed and rpm..? Pardon me if my question is stupid.

Hello. Thanks for the video. It is so useful to understand the subject. I want to ask; is that the same thing FPT (Feed Per Tooth) and Chip Load?

yes, those would be the same.

Hello, first thanks for your video, i want to ask you if you are shore about your RPM formula? I use for mm this one RPM = 4 x surface speed x 25.4 / diam. there is a lot of confusing tutorials on youtube, with your formula you get more then double RPM value,

hi there, I'm a little confused with the feed per tooth sum. 254/2000x4=.508 doesn't it?or am I missing something?
@TomStikkelman9 жыл бұрын
bease01 Correct. That is .508mm per tooth, or .020 Inch per tooth.
@connor21949 жыл бұрын
+bease01 use MDAS (multiplication,division,addition,subtraction)
@johnthompson4728 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom Why have you got .0317 from the sum of 254/2000x4? this sum = .508 Thanks John
@TomStikkelman8 жыл бұрын
Make sure to multiply the 2000 x 4 first. That makes 8000. Then divide 254 by 8000. Thanks for watching.
