I’m old Beatles, clapton, CCR fan always saying growling is shit. Amorphis and Wintersun has changed my mind. In Bee (Amorphis) Tomi’s growling and cleans are insane.

That's exactly what happened for me. I was never into growling or screaming, even that I listened to Children Of Bodom quite a bit back in the days (when I played guitar myself). But because of Tomi and Jari I have started to like those type vocals in some extent. I mean that I can usually enjoy their music without constantly thinking, that why they have to sing like that, and I actually like their vocals when they give their best. Tomi's growling is incredible and Jari can scream his soul out...I never thought someone could actually put so much emotions on screaming type vocals.

I LOVE Amoprhis. Tomi's voice is like honey. Great band that I've listened to over 10 years. There is way more variety in metal music now than like in the 80's or 90's. Try The Bee from them. Great song too!

Amorphis is one of the best metal bands going. They have never released a bad album IMO. They started out as pure death metal but have evolved over the years to this. The last two albums are straight up masterpieces and the ones prior are nothing to sneeze at too. Great great band...one of my all time favourites. Cheers!

Finally! I recommended this earlier. This band is just something you wish everyone would hear! I usually don't like growls so much but Tomi's growls are just gold. And his clean voice... ❤️ They have so many good songs. I would recommend Silver bride, You I need, Wanderer, Brother and Sister, Nightbirds songs, Death of a King, House of sleep, Daughter of hate...

Tomi Joutsen, best growls in the business! 💪Fun fact, he has also been coached by Marko from Nightwish. Some background on this fine band and more suggestions below. Amorphis is one of the pioneers of the Finnish metal scene, started in 1990. Three of the founding members, Esa Holopainen, Jan Rechberger and Tomi Koivusaari still play in the band. When they released their first widely successful albums, the Tales from the Thousand Lakes and Elegy in the 90s, they had struck a really poor recoding deal and never received a fair payment from their work. This understandably demotivated the band and they were close to breaking up. Luckily they got rid of the lousy deal and in 2005 they found their current singer Tomi Joutsen, who fit the band perfectly having both clean singing and growling abilities. They’ve released many high quality and critically acclaimed albums since. From the Tales from the Thousand Lakes to The Beginning of Times albums (that’s about 7 albums), their songs tell stories from the Finnish national epic, Kalevala. Last three albums are somewhat also insipired by Kalevala as well as Finnish nature and folklore. Amorphis’ songs are best enjoyed with lyrics and by checking the backstories beforehand at least for the Kalevala songs. They are one of my favorite bands in addition to Nightwish, Insomnium and Bloodred Hourglass. Amorphis is my top favourite band. Love them to the moon and back! Listen to „Sacrifice“ , „Silver Bride“ or „Death of a King“- there a countless good songs from this outstanding band. Tomis voice is the best voice (clean/growls) in the metal scene... They released 13 studio albums!!

Amorphis is a genre on its own; they've been around for some three decades and stayed on their own path, giving influence to a whole generation of Finnish metal composers and musicians like Tuomas from Nightwish. Amorphis is another Finnish band, Song Bee is amazing. That bands singer has nice clean vocals but he can Growl like no one else. Also u should check Sabaton's newest song, defence of Moscow. It is so good. Look the MV, because they haven't done live yet. MV is amazingly done, it's like video from 1941 worldwar 2 battles

the lead singer Tomi Joutsen has a voice of gods!! Both clean and growl ...and that growling is just sweet as honey! I wasn't even Amorphis fan before Tomi stepped in the band 2005.

they have so many good songs...Winter’s Sleep, You I Need, Mermaid, Brother and Sister without or few growls, Dark Path, Heart of the Giant, The Bee - growls and cleans, White Night (feat. Aleah) from Under the Red Cloud album (perfect from start to finnish), my favourite live performance Towards and Against (from Forging The Land of... show). By the way, Amorphis guitarist and one of songwriters Esa Holopainen releases solo album Silver Lake (with guest vocals, Anneke one of them) this friday, there are two singles already, great songs and videos, please check it out!

Sampo is probably my favourite Amorphis song. Or Skyforger. My husband's band opened for two of their shows back in early 2017 (Calgary and Edmonton) and the energy of playing with Amorphis made it two of their best ever sets haha

Anneke makes this song better. Anneke is the one in the middle of Valley of the Queens. If you like his voice you should listen to Evergrey singing In Orbit ft. Floor. I Love Anneke and her voice. If you like Anneke you should react to Travel at the 25th Anniversary of the Gathering.
