1. Holistic HR (HR should be fully integrated within the organization) 2. Less focus on process improvement (more focus on important issues instead of revamping old processes) 3. Be kind (issues go away when you’re kind) 4. More appreciation of complexity (involve data analytics to better understand concepts such as turnover rate) 5. Adaptive Systems (“one size fits all” is not appropriate for better efficiency) 6. From people analytics to analytics for the people (give employees the option to be in control of their data) 7. Learning in the flow of work (be able to assess when workers need help) 8. A tougher approach to diversity and equal opportunities (Increase diversity and inclusion; equalize pay) 9. Inclusive leadership (make leadership a shared responsibility in the organization) 10. Productivity (hire less people and look for ways to utilize the potential of current employees) 11. Blockchain breakthrough (possible opportunities through blockchain) 12. Corporate and employee activism (organizations should contribute to society)

I agree HR should be Technology-savvy & Human-centric. We rarely struggle with the latter, but I think many are struggling with the former, particularly when it comes to new tech (AI, Blockchain, RPA etc)

It's interesting to listen to this for the first time almost 10 months into the year and see the connection each one has with what is happening in society today. Can we say that the core of what is happening is unexpected? Or is it just simply how it's happening that is unexpected. As an overall society, we have to stop with excuses and start using those who can 'see' what is coming and then we have to be more proactive. Stop fixing what isn't working and make a difference.

IT and HR promised: let us invest in HR systems and workflow automation, and manager, you will save a lot of time that you can use for things you really like and that matter most for you (winning business for example). But: the investments were made, and the managers find they have to spend more time and not less. This leads to irritation, and the cry: "Please give me my time back!".
